Entrance Preview

I took kerala entrance examination at 2010 and my rank was 2543 i was going for entrance coaching at P.C thomas Entrance coaching centre, Trissur my option for NSS was that it is the one of the very oldest and reputed college in kerala under Calicut university.

Course Curriculum Overview

Calicut university syllabus are much efficient syllabus they cover almost every subjects an engineer should be aware and taught of and will provide you the best study atmosphere which will make us out as better engineer.

Internship experiences was too good we had the luck to grab knowledge from ISRO bangalore and BSNL.

As our college is some far about the town and city rushes, we can celebrate every events at its peak without disturbing the pubic the arts day, inter zone competitions, technical fest from each departments all are some of them.

Yeah, government is providing many scholarships and many of students are availing the benefits KPCR is one of them.

As i mentioned earlier this is one of the oldest college in kerala the college is wide spread in a huge area you will get an outstanding campus life both of studies and atmosphere college is very near to malampuzha dam and a good scenery of hills at the back and the college look too beautiful when it rains arts fest, sports and almost every extracurricular activities, you can find it here sorry, no swimming pools. But we have a good Health Club or GYM almost every week, atleast once there will be some tech related programs, like paper presentations, demos, discussions, debates and such.

If you can score good marks the best choice is to stay in the college hostel the best food you will ever get is from our college and we can choose the food menu, as there will be some mess representatives from the students itself you will get wifi and cle

Good life memory

Likes

College ambience was too attractive. Friendly atmosphere ആൻഡ് very nice hidden spots and food spots inside the college
The faculty was too supportive and encouragive nature that was also in studies and extra curricular activities also that be very kind of them
There is not only aim to study but also encourage the extra activities. The management was also very supportive to students and also the faculties.

Dislikes

There is very strict to attendence. There was not to bunk the class every hour there will take the attendence and there will be absent they autimaticaly send sms to registerd phone
There is too many exams and assignments that will be little bit problem for students
Canteen facilities little bit bad in my college life time. There was not that much food veriety

Placement Experience:

From 6 th semester onwards campus placement taken. There was coming in bcs, infopark, wipro, etc. Companies are mainly appeared and also many other companies came select many students. The main companies take students in cutoff 8.5or9 cgpa. And some other compnies take students they have backpapers.

The overall environment here is great. Students coming from different backgrounds make us more capable of meeting new people who have different ideas and that makes things easier,apart from achieving technical greatness ,curtain clubs are here
These clubs gives opportunities to gain new skills and to showcase our existing skills, sports clubs are also present which will help improve skills in sports
Cultural clubs , technical clubs are also present here to aid in your interest

Placement Experience:

Upon reaching s7 students are invited for campus placement but they have to pass different criteria to become eligible for attending the interview, a minimum cgpa of 7.5 and academic skills a these are the basic requirements and an aptitude test will be given and in further selection these criteria are looked. I plan on pursuing a job after completing by btech. More than half the students in a batch are getting placed usually.

Students can get internships from First sem. Students become eligible from 7th sem for campus placement . The average package begins from 15000/- to most highest package of 25000/-. The percentage of students getting paced is 20-30%.I have been planiing to go to higher studies.

Campus, comparing from nearby college this college had good visual beauty may be because of the college been part 2-3 movies. Visually the college are too good with nature

Dislikes

The Placement is weak as there is no opportunity to get a proper core based job from what you studied mainly job opportunities come from call centres which doesnt require Btech to study. This personally felt too sad to be here to get placed in core.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As of the college comes under Ktu syllabus it has already has demerits of the university. Curriculum basically doesnot provide a realworld application uses. Just creates a knowledge on the course (and thats doubt) We need to courses outside the college to get the core jobs outside

The college provides a good atmosphere to truly get a job in the competetive world if we are willing to work for it.
They heavily monitor attendance to make sure that you take your classes so that you perform well in your exams
The facilities provided by the college are good as there are several labs and workshops for hands-on experience

Dislikes

The campus life can get boring and it feels like we are in a rat race.
Some teachers can be a bit apathetic towards the students.
The number events that encourage social interactions in not many

The students are elegible for campus placements from the 7th semester and almost all students get placements provided they don't have any subject yet to clear at the time of placement. There are several companies that visit the college for recruiting including but not limited to TCS, CTS,etc,.

The campus is a package pf greenery and the culteral events conducted there are good at the end
The faculties are good and maintain a decent teaching style
The sports activities are well maintained here

The hostel mess and the food is a bit not good from my opinion
The hostel doesn't have adequate wifi to accommodate the entire strength of students residing there

Yes the college is providing placement facilities and the College has its own placement and industrial relations wing that is said to study about the current industrial requirements and provide the adequate amount of training for the students

A honest review on NSSCE Palakkad

For admission,you have to write KEAM examination amd secure a decdnt rank as this is one of the most demanded colleges in kerala.You have to appear in allotment process and join if you gets tge allotment.The admission procedure was so smooth and as per KEAM rules. The course Instrumentation and control was available in very few colleges in kerala and this is the only government institution provides this particular course. I had applied for top colleges in Kerala for Engineering studies. I got admitted to NSSCE. I'm so glad that I'm a student of NSSCE. Admission to NSS College of Engineering. Mainly through KEAM Entrance examination conducted by the government of Kerala: General Quota, Reservation Quota are through KEAM Entrance examination of that year. You should have good marks in PCM subjects in the 12th standard. You should perform well in the KEAM Entrance examination of that year. Try solving Objective questions as many as possible. You definitely have to work hard to get admission to premium colleges like NSSCE. Management Quota admission: Should have good marks in 12th standard. Should quality KEAM Entrance examination of that year. Should have a good academic performance history. Admission to NSSCE is highly competitive. I had studied my higher secondary course in a subject combination of Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology(science). Along with the higher secondary course I went for entrance coaching in a coaching centre. I was more interested in mathematics than biology so I focussed on engineering entrance exams. After entrance admission to engineering colleges are based on allotments set by our priority and merit. I opted NSS college of engineering since it is good academics and facilities among the engineering colleges in Kerala and also it is the closer my native district.
