Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum consists of very good physics subjects as well other allied subjects. We had practicals which were a part of our yearly evaluations as well. We had two labs in our college. We also had internal as well as external exams.
Placement Experience
There is no dedicated placement cell in our college but our faculty members help us a lot whether its is related to getting a job or preparing for entrances. Mock interviews are help sometimes that prepare us for interviews. Few companies do come to recruit but not many.
College Events
Annual Fests, Workshops and celebrations happen a lot in Shivaji Science College. We celebrate all festivals together and students put up cultural shows. Apart from that guest lectures are also held.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is fairly inexpensive. The fees for the Government branch is somewhat 4500 and that of the Non govt branch is a little expensive at 10,000-12,000 per year. I did it from a govt branch so mine was 13,500 for all three years.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities are a part of the curriculum at Shivaji Science College which is great. They constantly encourage students to indulge in other activities apart from studies. we have football and cricket teams as well.
Admission
I got admission on the basis of my 10+2 results. I scored a 60% in my +2 and applied online by filling out the application form. Then I was called for the interview and was selected for the course of B.Sc Hons in Physics.
Faculty
Our faculty was very knowledgeable and helpful. They gave really good notes and reference books that we used for exams,. They also helped us with previous years' question papers. They were very friendly as well.
