Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is highly detailed and well structured with emphasis on sanskrit grammar, verses, literature, etc. The course is a two year course and the exam structure is a semester wise division.

Placement Experience

4

Currently there aren't much placement opportunity but since it is central university, after gaining a bachelor's degree, I easily got placed in a reputed school in Delhi as sanskrit professors. Usually students pursue higher studies and have more opportunity as professors in college.

College Events

4

There are so many cultural events celebrate in college like saraswati puja, durga puja, diwali, etc. There is an annual cultural week where students dress up in traditional dresses and a sanskrit history week, where history of the language is explored through various activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees for the entire two year duration of the course is 4,000 Rs, divided equally academic year wise. Since it is a central university, fees is very low and therefore demand for seats is high due to the quality of education and degree.

Campus Life

The students and peers I have met in Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan New Delhi are some of the most well cultured and polite people ever. I have been helped everytime I was down and comforted. There are various extracurricular activities focused at workshops.

Admission

I had appeared for entrance exam called Shiksha Shastri Sanskrit exam (SSET), which is conducted by the central university itself for admission procedure in this particular course. Relevant scores are required to gain a seat here since the college is in high demand.

Faculty

4

The college faculty are highly qualified and very well experienced. They helped me various times when I found it difficult to grasp certain sanskrit lessons and verses. The college faculty hold degrees like PhD and M.Ed.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.
