Remarks

I had spent the most amazing days of my life in this institution. I really had got to learn and explore so much with the help of my respected professors. I am still in touch with some of my professors and they still guide me in my career.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course duration was three years. Since it is a doctorate course, the syllabus is very well structured and detailed. We had to give many exams and had to write thesis by doing research works. Sometimes the schedule was hectic but we enjoyed the learning process.

Placement Experience

Our college had offered good placements to us with satisfactory salary. We were offered to work on projects related to oceanography. Almost 40% students of our batch got placed in several respectable posts like scientists, trainee scientists and technical staff.

Fee Structure And Facilities

We had to pay the fees for our course on semester basis. There were total six semesters in the entire course. We had to pay 7000 rupees before every semester. My entire course fees was 42,000 rupees. For a Ph.D course, this fees was really economic and nominal than many college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our seniors were extremely helpful and friendly with us. They had helped us in many ways. They had shared their experiences regarding exams and placements with us. Some of them even shared their study materials with us, which helped us a lot in our examinations.

Campus Life

The laboratories were very well maintained and there were all the instruments and faculties that were required for our studies. The libraries were also very good. Almost all the necessary books were there. We never faced any kind of discrimination from our professors. They had treated us equally always.

Admission

For the admission in this institution I had to qualify UGC-NET/JRF examination. After qualifying in this exam, I had to go for an interview also. Thankfully I could clear all the rounds successfully and got admission in this college.

Faculty

We were really lucky, that we got amazing professors in our department. They helped us in every way possible in our research works. All the other faculty members were also very compassionate and supportive to all the students.

Reasons to not Join this College: By a ex-student

Likes

The surroundings is quite mesmerizing...

Dislikes

The faculties are rude and extremely toxic.
The faculties don't have clear understandings of the syllabus.. the lack of alignment with prescribed syllabus leads to high failure rate with nearly 60% of students failing in each semester
Quite often the semester examination papers include topics that were not covered by the teachers in class. in My class 23/75 students got block(year back). Which must be highest rate of failures across entire India

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is the same across all the 5 colleges It's too outdated to be studied Not relevant for modern-day job markets Students often have to study different materials to crack a job. Youtibe is best solution to clear the concepts

Likes

The faculty members are genuinely approachable, which makes it much easier to seek guidance beyond the standard syllabus
Located in the heart of Mapusa, the college’s central position makes daily commuting very convenient
Campus events like "Caculo’s Got Talent" , "Synergy" "IT Maestro " and "phoenix"offer a great, fun break from the academic routine.

Dislikes

The single-building campus structure can feel a bit restrictive for those expecting a more traditional, expansive campus atmosphere.
Due to the affiliation with Goa University, the curriculum can sometimes feel slightly dated and less aligned with rapidly changing industry trends.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell here is honestly one of the best parts of the experience—they’re super proactive, always keeping us on our toes with mock interviews and workshops that actually feel useful. We get into the placement groove in our final year, and it’s pretty cool to see the results. We’ve seen packages hit as high as ₹7.5 LPA, with an average around ₹3.8 LPA, which is a solid start in this industry. It’s great to see a variety of companies coming in, from tech-focused ones like RightScope, Transerve Technology, Letsapp, MinksPay, and Webnook to major recruiters like Bajaj Allianz, IDBI Bank, and Bharti AXA Life Insurance. A good number of my batchmates have already landed roles through these drives. As for me, I’m planning to take all the practical, hands-on skills I’ve picked up from my internships and extra tech courses and dive straight into the IT sector. Between that and the doors opened by the college’s MoU with the Goa Technology Association (GTA), I feel like I’ve got a real head start in the professional world.

zero % attendance policy and freindly seniors and no ragging and vibrant culture

less campus area and sports timings are limited

Placement Experience:

Placements are good like averages of chemical is 12 lpa and there is good placement percentage ratio like 75 percent and if in case of no placements further study is possible option as bits have connection to many best institues in the world.

Likes

First of all it was government college..
The college has a huge campus and a good infrastructure
College background is also good enoughh.

Dislikes

Surroundings area is not clean enough and not maintained
It is a long distance to cover everyday.
Don't have a proper ground to play around

Course Curriculum Overview:

I myself wanted to bebin this course as it has bright scope. It is very attractive in real world. the area needed to be cleaned and well maintained and hygiened as well. And the class timing are not good enough . They keep classes as they want.

An Overview Bits-Goa

Likes

Chill college with a very beautiful campus and the junior senior interaction is also good here.
Campus life is filled with fun and academics , its a blend of both in perfect proportions
Infrastructure here is so good and massive

There is no swimming pool also its raining always

A student needs to qualify the entrance exam of CSIR or UGC NET JRF and also a person is having basic qualifications with sufficient training of 2-3 months is necessary.
