Remarks

I am from defense background, and this college is the best example of PPP. It is one amongst the few top B schools in India and best college from the perspective of ROI. It is an old and well established institutes under the Symbiosis International University and hence give an exposure to diversity as well.

Course Curriculum Overview

Its amazing, the faculty are so cooperative, in this corona time we have online classes and everyone is so helpful and all the learning process is going so smoothly. The course is also well designed keeping in mind the holistic development of students.

Class Size: 300Course Fees: INR 1200000 per year

Placement Experience

The college doesn't guarantee to get the students a job, but it makes sure to get the companies on the campus. As it is a college and not an employment forum.Since I haven't passed out yet, I can not comment on everything. But I can sight an example of Papa Zapata food outlet in Pune which is the business of former students from SIMS only. There is a placement cell in college as well.

College Events

The campus is very much active in events and extracurricular activities. It has different cells and teams to facilitate the organisation of all the activities. Various compition are held online also. There is event cells, entreprenuership cells, academics cell, etc. All the activities are well co ordinated. Guest lectures are organised time to time. People from industry are called to address us. Also the alumni are there with touch always and motivates us as well.

As we are in the 1st year of our college, I won't be able to answer this accurately. But, as far as what I've heard from the alumni and seniors, the average placement stats of this college is around 15LPA. The highest package may scale up to 30LPA.

we so many different clubs and committees to be a part off and to learn from.
the level of ecpertise in terms of faculty is really amazing, we have faculties coming from milan to teach us.

missing on college campus because of space .

after 3rd sem companies starts visiting the college , highest package for this year is 28 lps as of now , avg is 13 lpa, my plans are getting into a good fmcg company. percentage ad of now is 70 % , there is quite a few of no of companies visiting

Exam pattern is quite easy to pass as there is relative grading.
There are multiple events and clubs to participate
From SY only class is about 2-4 hrs everyday and Saturday-Sunday holidays

Dislikes

Metallurgy department Class room's are very small and old
Hostel food sucks tbh, only on sundays we get an option to eat non veg.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester students are eligible for pre-placement and after 7-8 semester most of them get place.About 228 companies visited in our college and 530 students were placed.The highest offer made was 87 lacs and averages placement was 12lacs.For metallurgy it was 20lacs and average was 8.5 lacs.About 76.26% students were placed this year. I will look for good package if i don't get then i will start preparing for gate/gre exam for my master.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from starting of the second year. The placements commence then and continue till everyone is placed. Being a young college, the placements are improving on a yearly basis with new companies being onboarded. The average package stands around 12-13LPA.

Remarks:

I had honestly applied in only a selected number of colleges, as I was doing really well in my coaching and was always among the top 2. Since, I was expecting a lot from myself, it created performance pressure and I went blank during the actual CAT examination. So SDA bocconi was among the top 2 options that I had. It is less than a decade old and has still managed to provide good placements. The most fascinating part is the entire semester in Bocconi,Milan which is the 21st best college in the world and 7th in Europe. I also spoke to many aluminis and hardly got to hear anything that will stop me from taking admission in SDA bocconi. Plus, the advantage of the college being in a city like Mumbai has it's own advantages.

Remarks:

College management is highly supportive of student needs. The management listens to student issues and tries to solve it with proper thinking and strategy. The college and the composition, though is extremely dynamic and diverse, students live together peacefully in harmony, supporting and helping each other whenever needed. Though being it's initial stages of setup, the college faces certain issues with placements and internships, but slowly with every batchs learnings, these are also being cured. This ensures that students are always on their toes and ready to take on challenges.

Like all other colleges under Symbiosis University, SIMS too, requires clearing the cut off of the SNAP entrance exam. The cut off is usually 92 percentile. After getting shortlisted for the same, there is a GD, WAT, PI round, where in the further competencies of the candidate is tested. The WAT topics are like complete the story kind, GD topics (if conducted) are mostly from current affairs, and the interview questions are usually about one's personality and self, with few academic questions as well. This is the motto that Symbiosis is known for and also abides by. Symbiosis, or to particularly say Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies has always thrived to Make A Difference. SIMS has always been known as an Institution for students with a defence background as it provides 90% seats to them and 10% seats to civilians/open-category students. This provides a good diversity ratio among students. SIMS is ranked 9th overall in India & is among the top 3 B-Schools in the state of Maharashtra in private institutes in India. One of the reasons to choose SIMS was this student & cultural diversity and international exposure that couldn't possibly be experienced anywhere in the world.
