Bhavan's College Mumbai, B.M.M

Reviewed on Sep 10, 2020

Remarks

The campus is really good. The teachers here are amazing. They literally make you feel like family. The projects here are the projects you will actually get in future. Traveling was quite easy for me.

Course Curriculum Overview

Syllabus was perfect. Teachers were ready with all the materials. There was no major industrial exposure. Sayalee Natu ma?am was the best in the faculty. She is literally like a second mother to all the students.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 18000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I interned for Clean Slate Filmz.

Placement Experience

No placements here. They give recommendations and then it?s upto us if we want to go for an interview or not.

College Events

There are many fests this college holds. And all of them are amazing. However inter college fest is banned because of something that happened in the past. Intracollege fests are amazing here. They give importance to people who play sports too.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not availed any scholarships or loan facilities here. And I?m not sure about this. They give us recommendations for internships.

Campus Life

Theres no wifi. Library however is the best here. Labs are not that great for BMM. They dont have cameras and other equipments related to bmm. Classrooms are nice but can be better. However, the ventilation is amazing.

Hostel Facilities

No hostels in this college. However there?s one but not for bhavans college. Nobody ever even tried opting for hostels because of all the unnecessary hostel restrictions. Students here rent a place and live there together.

Hostel Fee: INR 20000 per year

College campus is the most beautiful thing and is favorite among the students
College culture, the amount of events and extra curriculars offered are unbeatable.
The learning facilities are top notch, from labs to classrooms everything is great.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have completed degree in Computer science with Al and analytics as specialization, considering that the course is very relevant and industry specific, there are often industry visits and mentor sessions to learn real time. The exams are conducted thrice every semester two exams are of 20 marks each and final is of 60 marks, the diffculty level is easy to moderate and it also varies student to student.

What ISDI is like

Likes

The college has excellent infrastructure and management.
Teachers are a hit or miss. There’s mostly rookie teachers for the first years but as you select your specialization, you’ll only be dealing with a specific set of teachers. Some of them are extremely experienced and some are okay-okay.
The college has excellent industry connections. There’s no better place to network as a student in Mumbai. They have people visiting from all over the world and master classes and talks occurring every now and then.

Dislikes

They’ve increased their intake of students massively. The campus is becoming way too crowded for so many people. They’ve expanded campus into some floors in the hostel which is right across the street.
Everything in the college is slowly getting more and more expensive. They charge large unnecessary fines for things like not bringing your hall ticket or a new ID card or for exam rechecking.
Canteen is wayy too expensive for students like us

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are very good and they have people coming from a diverse range of companies. I am a second year student so I don't know about the exact packages. I plan to identify my strengths by 4th year and get a job in that sector.

Dislikes

Faculty, their attitude, the impact they put on kids

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally, I don't think it's all that great. The faculties don't care enough. They don't provide quality education and have no helping nature. The exams were kept online after the covid-19 conclusion because they have taken some code-tantra subscriptions. They compromise the quality of education for their benefit and aim at earning money.
