Remarks

The college management was always helpful and always ready to solve students problem.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course was designed well. Besides theory equal emphasis was on practical knowledge. Some hard work was also assigned in workshop. This made us physically strong to work in tough physical environment. We were taken to several industrial visits where we have exposure with the process of the plant. The college had a very good library also where several technical journal from the globe was available.

Placement Experience

4.5

Several industries were invited by the college and they conducted campus interview. More than 50% of students were placed before the final examination.

College Events

5

During my stay only one big celebration was organized on the occasion of silver jubilee of the institute. Besides several cultural functions were also organised time to time. The college had a unit of engineering branch of NCC and it was compulsory in the first year. Annual sports events were also organised every year. The college had a very big auditorium where film was screened every week for the entertainment of students and staff.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was a government owned College and every thing is transparent. We were required to pay the fees annually, half yearly or monthly. Besides, examination fees was charged before the annual examination. The college fees was to be paid alongwith examination fees if not paid earlier. The fee structure was quite affordable.

Fees and Financial Aid

Not applied for any loan neither got any scholarship. There was a criteria of minimum income of parents or guardians for getting any financial help.

Campus Life

The college had no girl students, only boys were admitted. The student groups used to organize small parties time to time to celebrate mainly birthdays. There was a library called Gandhi library, which was managed by students totally. A number of books on fiction, general knowledge, cultural, etc. were available. The college had a gymnasium for students.

Hostel Facilities

Yes, in the first year accommodation was four seated but from second year onwards it was single seated. Each student had a single bed,one study table and one chair. The food was also average but heathy.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is very active and old students continuously contribute to help the needy students with educational aids like laptops, calculators, books, etc.

Admission

Through competitive examination conducted by board of technical education,Bihar in September 1972. I was interested to join this college as it was the best institution at that time. There was a craze for studying Electronics and communication and this was the only institution in Bihar at that time where this was offered.

Faculty

5

It was one of the best. All the faculty members were well qualified and experienced. The class timings was very tough. It was from 7.30 AM to 4.05 PM with a lunch break of one and twenty five minutes. In the first two years the course structure was almost common for all branches. The attendance in both theory and practical classes was compulsory. If someone escaped practical classes he was not given another chance and marks was deducted accordingly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually my branch is Electronics and communication engineering but my major interest lies in development area , i have gained all the skills in my college by my own taking some guidance from the seniors as they are very helpful and supporting. Improvements in course curriculum could be like they have to basically add one more course or any training program to help students for making skills and teaching them for their placements.(apart of the course , i am saying not because i am from ECE department , its common from any branch student)
