Doon Post Graduate College of Agriculture Science and Technology Dehradun, BBA, General

Reviewed on May 25, 2020

Remarks

Nice environment,Good faculties,Good ratings on websites, I opted for BBA because I want to work for HDFC bank in. Delhi, although the college do not give placement but somehow now I m in hdfc bank. The most enormous thing about the college is the environment where U can study and get things easily available

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculties are good and the curriculum I can say is average and the academics are also good enough most of the students were there to do bsc agriculture, and they got Jobs in their own state, so although it was good enough, the faculties were very knowledgeable

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Placement Experience

0.5

No placement and job opportunity.and the college don't even market their courses in placement basis. So no one who is there expect any such things like placement although there r plenty of help that faculties provide to get a job

College Events

2.5

The campus life was very good because I was in the nearby hostel the students can visit and do any activity in there college till evening although they do not promote any extracurricular activities, they provide all the fesitvals parties that held by any colleege like freshers party and farewell as well. The Utsav is one of the best things happen every year in that they sign any filmstar or singer or a celebrity.

Campus Life

3.5

It have all the facilities like 50 person library tennis courts and ground as well no wifi was there till the time I leave. It have three buildings one is for the staffs and the other one is for agriculture and technology students and one is for management students.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel infrastructure was not up to the mark the food quality was too bad I wish it Has been modified. Because my college have plenty of hostels in which I was in is just attach to the college and I heard about others and they say that the other hostels was very good.

Hostel Fee: INR 48000 per year

A Well-Rounded B.Tech Journey with Good Infrastructure, Supportive Faculty, and Growing Career Opportunities

Likes

Faculty members are generally qualified and approachable, and students can seek help with academics and projects.
students should supplement the university curriculum with industry certifications, coding practice, internships, GitHub projects and real-world development work.
There are cultural events, technical activities, clubs, sports and other extracurricular activities. Hostel students can participate fairly actively in campus events.

Dislikes

The main improvement I'd look for would be more advanced, industry-standard laboratory equipment and greater practical exposure.
I couldn't find a reliable current official university figure for the overall girls-to-boys ratio.
The ratio can also differ substantially between CSE, other engineering branches and the university as a whole.

Placement Experience:

Haridwar University provides regular campus-placement opportunities across IT, core engineering and other sectors. The university reports strong overall placement activity, but programme-wise salary and placement data are limited publicly, so students should ask for CSE-specific statistics before admission.

Holistic Review of MBA at IIM Kashipur

Likes

It's a student run campus which means that important decisions regarding students are taken by the student bodies.
The campus is beautiful and lush. The architecture of buildings are well though of made to keep buildings cool during summers and hot during winters.
The campus is very happening. Several cultural events occur.

Dislikes

As the town Kashipur is not very developed, there is not much of metro-city life or such amenities
The boys to girls ratio for core program is 4:1 and the opposite for the analytics program which makes the class interactions disproportionate, It should be uniform.
You can't order food from online platforms here as the city is remote so one has to resort to the options present on campus which turns out to be pretty limited in number and quality.

Placement Experience:

As soon as the second year starts, companies start coming for placements. These include ICICI bank, Wellsfargo, Genpact, Amazon, TresVista, Havells, TVS, Tech Mahindra etc. The highest package goes around to be 40-50 Lacs while average is around 14-15 Lacs. Almost all get placed while the rest opt-out from the process either for off-campus offers or pursuing higher education.
