Campus Life

My overall experience at RIT College has been positive. The campus provides a friendly and comfortable environment with good infrastructure and facilities. Campus life is active and gives students opportunities to interact, participate in clubs, events, and various social activities. The college encourages teamwork, communication, and overall personality development. The well-maintained campus and supportive atmosphere make student life engaging and enjoyable...so I can say this is best institute

Admission

I chose RIT College over other options because of its supportive academic environment, experienced faculty, good infrastructure, practical learning opportunities, and focus on overall student development. The college also provides a positive campus environment and career-oriented exposure.

Faculty

The faculty members are supportive, approachable, and knowledgeable. They explain concepts clearly and are available to guide students whenever required. The curriculum follows the university framework while also including additional activities for overall development. The examination system is systematic, with continuous internal assessments and semester-end examinations, providing regular opportunities for students to evaluate their preparation. Overall, the academic environment is positive and student-focused.

Night Life

Nightlife around the college is relatively peaceful and limited, with a few local cafés, restaurants, and places to hang out nearby. The area is more suitable for relaxed evening outings and spending time with friends.

I came to RIT Roorkee from Bihar for my MBA and I want to write this review specifically for students from Bihar and UP

Likes

The campus environment is good and you get students from different places, so you get a chance to interact with people outside your home state.
Faculty support can be good, especially when you are regular with your studies and approach them when you need help.
For parents from Bihar, having accommodation within/around the campus can make the transition easier.

Dislikes

Hostel and college rules can feel strict for students who want a lot of freedom.
You will need to put in your own effort for coding, communication skills, internships and other career preparation. The college alone cannot guarantee a good career.
The environment is fairly structured, which can be helpful if you want to stay focused on your studies.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at Roorkee Institute of Technology are quite diverse, with a dedicated Training and Placement Cell that supports students through resume building, mock interviews, career guidance and recruitment drives. According to the institute’s current placement information, the 2026 batch has recorded placements across different sectors, with an average package of around ₹8 LPA and the highest package of ₹22 LPA. The institute also lists recruiters such as Cognizant, Finastra, Sopra Steria, KPMG, EY and Voltas.

the campus social environment is vibrant with numerous active clubs.
career development cell provides decent placement preparation, soft skill training session

Dislikes

The campus grounds and outdoor sports spaces free
hostel food mess food variety could be expanded
the batch demographics are slightly shewed

Course Curriculum Overview:

the cousse curriculum is well structured and cover both foundational theories and practical concept. which was key reason for choosing this program. it provides a solid acedemic base for higher studies and includes case studies and group projects that help bridge the gap toward real world application. however there is still room for improvement in increasing hands on in increasing hand on industry explosure moder tool integreation and practical workshop rather than leaning primarily on conventional textbook learning

Dislikes

early classes makes it difficult to attend sometimes

Placement Experience:

third semester students are eligible to sit for placements. a lot of companies have visited the campus like HCL, tech mahindra, ICICI bank, infosys etc. the highest package went up to 40 LPA in the digital marketing role whereas avg package was 8.7 LPA . around 95% students were placed on campus. Holistic Review of MBA at IIM Kashipur

Likes

It's a student run campus which means that important decisions regarding students are taken by the student bodies.
The campus is beautiful and lush. The architecture of buildings are well though of made to keep buildings cool during summers and hot during winters.
The campus is very happening. Several cultural events occur.

Dislikes

As the town Kashipur is not very developed, there is not much of metro-city life or such amenities
The boys to girls ratio for core program is 4:1 and the opposite for the analytics program which makes the class interactions disproportionate, It should be uniform.
You can't order food from online platforms here as the city is remote so one has to resort to the options present on campus which turns out to be pretty limited in number and quality.

Placement Experience:

As soon as the second year starts, companies start coming for placements. These include ICICI bank, Wellsfargo, Genpact, Amazon, TresVista, Havells, TVS, Tech Mahindra etc. The highest package goes around to be 40-50 Lacs while average is around 14-15 Lacs. Almost all get placed while the rest opt-out from the process either for off-campus offers or pursuing higher education.

A detailed information on all your doubts about Roorkee Institute of Technology, Roorkee

The admission process was super smooth and easy. The teachers of the admission cell are so supportive that it makes it easy even for a new student to go through all the procedures. I didn't availed any quota, but one can get admission on the basis of sports quota, Army quota and many more and will avail some scholarship as well for the same. For B-Tech CSE, one need to get atleast 60% marks in PCM, that is in Physics, Chemistry and Maths you should have an aggregate of 60% of marks. There's no such age mentioned to get admitted. The admission process consists of 3 parts:- Visit the institution and speak about the scholarships and all. Selecy your branch and get your documents verified and there will be a personal counselling session as well on this day. •At the last, pay the admission fees that is around 30-40% of your yearly fees in addition to ?10,000-15,000 as the admission and uniform charges....Read More
