Remarks

As it is a government college the facilities are not up to the mark the working is slow and lethargic and it is difficult to get things done.

Entrance Preview

I AIEEE,IIT JEE scored fair and I opted for this college becausej it is a renowned college and is not too far from my parent's house.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course curriculum is basically monotonous and includes very few subjects that have direct relevance to our future IT fields jobs and opportunities.

Internships Opportunities

We have to arrange for it ourselves. It is not provided by college and they make no effort for helping us ease into finding an internship.

Placement Experience

3.5

The job and placement opportunities are fairly good companies such as TCS ,CAPgemini,John deere, tech mahindra and many more established firms come to the campus and hire students in bulk i am not sure of the exact number. They offer between 3 to 5 lakhs.

College Events

3.5

We have tech fests called insignia every year we have an annual sports meet, media fest and the participation from in and around colleges is pretty huge. The fests are not large scale i'd rate it as medium scale. The fests require lots of sponsership and financing which is arranged by the students and the student PR teams.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is kind of feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are no scholarships as such just fee concessions for the financially weaker students. I am unaware of any loan availabilities as of my knowledge none are available.

Campus Life

2

The gender ratio is prett stable in our class of 120 students aroung 45 are girls there are comparitive to other states a higher number of girls and also a large no of girls are placed during placement sessions. The college life is exciting and eventfull we have regular parties in hostel every other month and small functions and social gatherings once or twice a semester.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel facilities are rotten, each room has a maximum of 4 girls and minimum of 3. There is no boys hostel and yes the hostel seats are few and are given on merit basis. Boys pg ranges from 3000 to 6500.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes we have a facebook alumni page which is very active and the seniors have been very helpful in discussing various aspects of life of college and outside college.

Faculty

2.5

The faculty includes permanent and temporary teachers among which only few are dedicated and hardworking and push students towards excellence.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
