REMARKS
In bad remarks the college is situated in remote area from the city but thanks for the city bus service students have not to face transportation problems otherwise there is no bad remarks about my college at the end i say my college government Engineering college rajkot is the place for discover yourself and do something unique for society interest and for study in domestic way i love my college and always love to study here it my life's opportunity to be a part of GECR.
ENTRANCE PREVIEW
I took JEE(Joint entrance Exam),from Gujarat state i scored 78 marks out of 360 because it was very hard examination and i am belong from kutch district which nearly situated to rajkot i wanted study about electronics there are many colleges in rajkot but my college is only govrmente organized college in whole rajkot so i choose this college for my degree course and the admission process is provide by ACPC (Admission Committee for the professional courses) Ahmedabad which applied me seat in my college also called GECR.
FEE STRUCTURE AND FACILITIES
GECR is government recognized college so there is relief in fees we have to pay 1500 INR for government fees and 750 INR for college fees it includes tuition fees,lab fees,gym,sports etc. We have to pay 750 INR per semester and girls have not to pay Government fees as per rule.
PLACEMENT WING
In my college students from automobile and mechanical are get placed regularly in a year computer and electronic student get placed too but only few students for other branches there is less opportunity for getting placement in campus interview as i mentioned above rajkot is city of mills and factory they came in college and recruit students from various branches as per their requirements companies like local company Aditya steel pvt ltd,Vardhman diesel,Murlidhar Engineering wotks etc and big company like IBM came for interview and pay scale is about pakage of 2 or 3 lac.
HOSTEL FACILITIES
Well talk about hostel there is two hostels one for boys and second one for girls both have rooms electricity,water facility in need there are many rooms 3 studend for each rooms there is one mess in both hostel running by private catering services it provide healthy food two times in a day lunch and dinner and morning breakfast also college hostel has security services,hostel campus is wifi campus,room are good quality,hostel fess is about 2200 INR per year and mess expansion is 2000 INR per month.
ALUMNI
My seniors are very friendly with all of us junior they are helping us from firsr day of our college academic term they guide us they help us in new matter of study or whatever they are always with us in any problems or any situation we make a relation bonds with each other the bond of friendship they solve our doughts and problems in study or any activities so we all have brotherhood.
FACULTY
All branches have 120 seats for allocation the faculty of all branches are fulfilled all branches have their own HOD my branch's H.O.D. mr.vithlani sir has done M.E in electronic and all faculties are Masters in their respective courses regular lectures taken by faculties daily they worked hard after teaching, they all are friendly in behavior.
CAMPUS LIFE
The general ratio is 5:3 the campus life is good for study in better way and make invention faculty supports students in their study and other activities they are friendly in behavior there are two big workshops for students experimental works with good and better infrastructure students are leave in brotherhood with each other they all are friendly and tolerable they helps each other in studies as well as extracurricular activities,commonly girls and boys are meet up together,politis and economic point is devloped way no violation activities in history of college overall the place of study with self development is GECR.
EXAM STRUCTURE
The examination structure of our college is organized by Gujarat Technological University,Ahmedabad there is two types of exams in per semester one is external and second one is internal all subjects have thier own credits and marks structure generally most subject have 150 marks 70 final,30 midsem and 50 vivas students required minimum passing marks for make semester clear.
INTERNSHIPS OPPORTUNITIES
As everybody knows rajkot is city of Mills and industies at private sector few companies are came for recruitment for college students from automobile,mechanical branches only few students get placement others have to manage them selves and find job ownself the pay scale of placed students is about 2 or 3 lakhs per year.
COLLEGE EVENTS
GECR is running under Gujarat Technological University (GTU) college celebrates various technical,sports,cultural,management festival as pet GTU academic calander in August every year college celebrates youth festival which is period of 3 days in this festival students take participate and do many activities such as various competitions like dance,singing,painting also there is quiz compitions and cultural events many more in January there is week of sports called sports week students plays many sports games including indoor and outdoor games both there are many matches like cricket,football,badminton,basketball etc all students play with enjoyment and passion and there are indoor games like chess,singin etc,sports week is the week of enjoyment all students cheers for participated students and last in march the biggest technical event called BRIZINGER celebrated by us which includes many technical events not only college students but also other colleges students take participate and celebrate this technical event.
LOAN/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVISIONS
Yes every year scholarship is offered to students for sc,st and obs cast students whose father income is less than 4 lakhs i availed scholarship last year about 11000 INR it is provided by government.
