Remarks

The college environment is pretty good but at the end of the day it completely depends on how people deal with their surroundings.

Entrance Preview

I took AIEEE i was much interested in the fields of computer science and technology and was intrigued by the scope and opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum is fairly relevant a few subjects are to the point and the others are just shoved in for the sake of marks grabbing. Operating system, automata, java,c,c++ , as well as data structures are interesting intuitive topics others such as business studies and evs were irrelevant.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement opportunities are excellent though the job pay is not very high the packages are very nominal and average around 4 lakhs the most frequent companies are TCS,WIPRO such companies are the high package companies considered in dream slot.

College Events

4

technical event INSIGNIA cultural event JASHAN MANAGEMENT FESTIVAL (MEDIA FEST) BONJOUR are among the few major fests celebrated ion our college it has a great number of participation from students in and outside college it requires proper functioning PR teams and event management teams along with required team heads and protocols etc as well as intervention of teachers from time to time.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible though not very reasonable the even semester fee is around 60 thousand and the odd semester fee is around 40 thousand. Depending on the financial condition and background it may be rated as feasible or expensive along with the fee we also have examination fees and hostel fees for all those who have occupied the hostel.

Fees and Financial Aid

No there are are no scholarships available but there is fee exemptions and fee reductions for those who are from financially weaker backgrounds there are meeting for these students every year and thoroughly verified.

Campus Life

1.5

The campus life is very exciting and enthusiastic the gender ratio is fairly equal students from various parts of india, haryana, manipur, kashmir and south are also a part of college life extracurricular activities are sports competition are much awaited,Robotics, debates would give 7 out of 10.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel rooms are dingy swollen walls and cold and too heat during summers. The hostel seats seem always to be too less for the number of girls trying to get accomodation so mostly 4 girls share a single room we are provided with three built in almirahs and tables in case of the 4th inmate there can be an additional godrej almirah mess food is average. PG's are 3500 - 5000 including food.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is pretty srtong and connected we have a facebook group who help and advice juniors for there future endevours.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is painstaking and hectic we have two sessionals and one major exam along with that for internals we have mcqs and vivas along with presentations and assignments which carry some weightage in the total marks. The sessionals are for 20-20 marks each internals is for 10 marks and the major exam is for 50 marks.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
