Remarks

Yes paper checking system of IGNOU is very bad. They fail you in most of exams dont know why they do that. They do very hard chcking.

Entrance Preview

There is no entrance exam for BCA or for any other course. I choose IGNOU for doing BCA because it is popular for BCA study and they also give good placement.

Internships Opportunities

Yes but sometimes. In addition to gaining great experience to complete your classroom learning college internships allow you to beef up your portfolio or resume and make valuable industry contacts that can be essential to landing the ideal job upon graduation.

Placement Experience

4.5

Front end Investment Banking roles were offered by Barclays Capital,ICICI Securities,Religare and ICICI Securities. Goldman Sachs,DE Shaw,Axis Securities and JP Morgan offered middle office, IT and Support roles in Investment Banking. Other major players in the domain included Standard Chartered,Citibank,hSBC,ICICI Bank,HDFC,Yes Bank and State Bank of India which offered Corporate Banking,Treasury and Retail roles.

College Events

4

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) celebrated Foundation Day,Independent Day,Vasant Panchami,Maha Shivaratri,Holi,Rama Navami etc. Those fest and events are make with full of happiness in IGNOU. Their are too much of activity in IGNOU like singing completions, dancing completions, speech completions, writing completions and much more.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes most of senior are helpful and some are like a average college but over all i can say it good. They have attempted to capture both the details based on publicly available profiles of B-Schools alumni in Linked In the popular social media site for professionals.

Faculty

3.5

Mostly staff is very good with student. All classes are taught by professors, not assistants. Professors teach only four courses per year (two per semester) enabling them to devote more time to each student. There's an 8:1 student to faculty ratio and the average class is 17 to 20 students. Professors expect and promote a dynamic classroom, where a lively exchange of ideas informs both teacher and student. Faculty also encourages and actively supports student participation in research projects.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course was very old I think there was a change in syllabus and activities for the students. Provide practical knowledge and work on skills development rather then written knowledge Because skills helps for placement not anything else.

The curriculum was not up to date at all, the languages taught are outdated, I had to persue courses from institutions to gain experience. Very little practical knowledge was given in each subject, the subjects were taught from theory point of view

I opted for this course because I wanted to develop skills in the IT sector. There are 7 teachers and 66 students. Teachers are good in nature and teach us practically which boost our skill and is also helpful for learning.
