Self learning college with less fees

Overall college is very good given the amount of fees. It is unique in various manners and students learn a lot. One can enjoy their life and also learn in unique manners. Definitely recommended.

I took CAT exam and scored 89%percentile. I had four options and i choose this college because of less fees and self learning structure course.

Course is very unique given the fact that they emphasized on Self learning. Course is build in the manner that everyone can learn about themselves and found the best for them.

College internship was good most of the companies visited the campus and almost 60% of the students placed. Rest of the students also got placed by themselves. I joined AC nielsen,market research company and i was offered market research projects in marketing area.General stipend varies- usually 6-7k per month. I was paid 11k for two months and it was great learning experience.

Placements are good as almost 15 companies visited the campus and 90% of the students got placed in different areas. Companies visited are TCS,Nomura,Tata Motors,Tata Steel,Hyundai Glovis,HDFC Bank to name a few. Job opportunities are good as average package offered was 4.5 lacs and profiles are nice in almost all of the companies with other compensations and benefits as well.

Juniors were welcome as Induction program organized by seniors where they get to know about the college and several small functions organized during the same special one was Sanksriti where every student from different state participated and showcase their regional festivities and functions. Several parties are also organized during the tenure. We have special fest where students participate in various competitions and also blood donation programme. Apart from that students participate in various functions of other colleges as well.

Main thing about the college is their fees which is very less during my tenure. However i learned that it has increased during recent years. Still it is very much feasible given the status of the college. It is 41 years old college and average fees is approximate 2 lacs for both years.

No scholarship or loan facility is offered by our college however as fees is very less as compare to normal MBA fees. So no loan is required in almost all the cases.

Campus life is good students from all the states are there from jammu & Kashmir to Tamil nadu. One can spend some quality time as infrastructure is uniquely designed. Extracurricular is good as one can enjoy some quality time at table tennis room,carrom board room and plays sports like badminton etc in campus itself. IMDR is part of Fergusson college so other sports like Football and Cricket usually played there. Labs are well equipped and library is one of the best in Pune. Students usually participate in National and state competitions in sports,debates and MBA related competitions.

This is where college lacks hostel is somewhat shabby and most of the students don's prefer. Hostel seats are few as well however the fees of the hostel is very less. It was approximate 2000 at my time. There is no mess for the college students. PG and rental facilities are easily available and 90% of the students prefer those only. It is affordable depending upon the area one lives. cost of the food can varies from 40-100 per meal and there are several mess around the college where one can enjoy good quality food. Rent varies from 8-15k for 1 BHk and 15-20k for 2 BHK where 4-6 students normally stays.

Alumni network is superb as it is 41 years college alumni of IMDR varies from President in Yes Bank to administrator in White house. Alumni meets organized every year for 2 days where most of the alumni comes and share their experience. Apart from that alumni portals are also there and one can register and take advantage of seniors knowledge.

Exams are really god and it varies from subject to subject where every teacher has its own method of conducting the exam. Some of them are only assignment and practical based,1-2 are open book tests. Usual method is assignment of 40 marks and 60 marks of final exam. Computer labs are well equipped and enough computers are there to help the students,excel and SAP tests are conducted in lab in proficient manner.

Internal Faculty is good but visiting faculty is excellent some of them are very experience having experience of more than 15-20 years. Most of them focused on practical knowledge and not on theoretical.
