Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College, BA {Hons.}, Geography

Reviewed on Aug 9, 2020

Remarks

It's is under Delhi university and carry my subject preferable, and also have good faculty I heard and not so far from my locality where I reside. Most importantly it have I guess best infrastructure for my subject.

Course Curriculum Overview

My course is good, even much interesting and informative as well and have lots of new things and life changing experiences in over all. Geography as a subject is very interesting and carry lots of stuffs like surveys, GIS, remote sensing, using of softwares to do all mapping etc.

Class Size: 26Course Fees: INR 30000 per year

Placement Experience

0.5

As from geography background there is no facility of placements or internships in my course but we ask for the same and hopefully available in 5 to 7 years. And the campus provides such for only commerce categories we are totally denied from it.

College Events

Campus was good. starting from freshers to farewell. It have a basic ground to organize all such activities but I think not properly maintained or not trying to elaborate the space if it have huge crowd. there is no proper guiding for it.

Campus Life

Infrastructure wise its normal. not so good one. space is less according to north campus and having issues like canteen food, water supply, parking etc. no parking facilities for students and books sometimes not available etc.

One of the strongest aspects of the institute is the faculty and the academic environment. Frequently members are generally experienced and approachable.
The teaching methodology includes case studies, presentation, group, assignments, group, discussions, projects, and practical assignments.
Another positive aspect is the exposure to corporate and professional life.

Placement Experience:

Lbsim has a structured campus placement process with participation from companies across sectors, such as consulting FMCG, IT/ITES , BFSI, marketing and operations. The institute provides students with placement preparation through aptitude test, mock interview interviews, group discussion, resume, building and corporate interaction.

Infrastructure. very nice infrastructure, hightech
Location, in dwarka near to sec 11 metro station and near to gurugram
Crowd that come is good and decent. intelligent people.

Dislikes

limited campus space compared to other bschools
limited hostel availability options available
Heay Academic workload, especially during mid terms

Course Curriculum Overview:

course curriculum is relevant and mostly what the market wants in future and whats coming ahead for us. Python is taught as its going to be huge ahead and other things are also added. There is not much gap between mid term and end term as trimester are short.

We have well maintained library with more than 40000 books and documents, there are study cabins and all facilities required to have a productive day
There ample opportunites provided to students to amp up their game. The clubs and societies themselves take initiative to provide certifications to students, more than case comps are floated and students are encouraged to take part in them
The level of discipline and commitment expected of us is very similar to the other top MBA colleges, multiple assignments, deadlines, case submissions etc. The curriculum also requires students to make use of resources like Bloomberg and prowess.

Dislikes

The quality of cohort can be better. The quality is deteriorating from the senior batch to the juniors
Not being a residential insititute is a big challenge, as the load of work is the same as any residential insitute but most students also have additional buden of travelling which becomes very taxing in the long run.
There is some level of politics that goes on in student societies which can become toxic sometimes.

Placement Experience:

The college actively provides placement support, students are eligible for placements from the first trimester itself. Last year more than 150 companies took part in the placement process. The highest offer made was 24 LPA and the average was 12.32 LPA. 99% of the 2026-2028 batch got placed by April 2026.

Social interaction is good in this college
Greenery around the campus, fresh air comes directly

Dislikes

Infrastructure could have been more better
The college seriously needs a renovation

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly, the curriculum is quite good and covers the main subjects needed for B.Pharm. I chose this course because it gives a good mix of pharmaceutical theory and practical knowledge. The practical classes help in understanding the concepts better and the course provides a useful foundation for further studies and future jobs in the pharmaceutical field.

Although the college is only 6 acres but it is well maintained
You can find various benefits in the college by joining different clubs
Faculties are passed from prestigious universities like IIT, IIM, MIT etc

Dislikes

College is not big so you can't explore In the college
There are no air conditioners in classrooms so It feels really hot in summers

Placement Experience:

I don't know much about placement because I don't want to sit in the placement drive of my college.
