Remarks

This college was under MHRD. Also because of the IIIT brand name. I did not got any other good NIT , IIT, IIIT so i decide to choose IIIT Manipur. I got this college through centralised counseling of jee mains.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course syllabus was based on IIIT Guwahati syllabus. College was not that good regarding industrial exposure. Many students arranged their internship by own efforts. Faculties are normal only. They don't try anything special for students. They do whatever they see in IIIT and IIT Guwahati.

Class Size: 13Course Fees: INR 1100000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I got internship at IIT Guwahati , I applied online and got selected. There was no stipend provided to us. I did work on 5G communication.

Placement Experience

No company visit in college. Till now 2 batches passed but still no company coming to college for placement. Many students get placement by applying on online job giving platform. There are no notable alumni from our college. There is no startup and famous research work from our college.

College Events

Campus life is very boring. Nothing to enjoy in campus. College don't organise any fest. If student try to organize , college don't support in any way. They were participating earlier in sports event outside but now a days no participation outside also.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I didn't avail any scholarship. But students can apply in all the scholarship provided by both the state and central government. Reserved candidates students get scholarship. Sometimes there is lots of delay in scholarship.

Campus Life

Infrastructure is very poor. As college is situated in northeast the development is seen least. There is no proper sports ground and no indoor stadium in campus. Labs are average. Library is small but having important books.

Hostel Facilities

Yes I was in hostel. Hostel room was good. But in a room , three students were adjusted. Water is dirty and muddy, so students buy water from outside. Then food is also very bad in mess. Many students eat outside the mess in restaurants. Mess fees is also very high.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is average and mostly theory-based. Core CS subjects are covered, but practical learning, updated content, and flexible electives are limited, so we students must rely on self-study. And the exams are also monthly so you have to work on your own to study.

The worst iiit in entire india

Placement Experience:

We are juniors so we really dont know about the placements no faculty told how much average what is the highest placement and we himself didnt ask seniors about the placements also in website they mention it is 9 lacks average but we dont the reality inside

IIIT MANIPUR , YOU SHOULD OPT. OR NOT?

Placement Experience:

Placements are overall good for CSE departments. Average package is 10-12 lpa,and placement percentage is also about 76 % not all placement are campus based some are off campus placement .This is too less as compased to other IIITs .The placement in ece department is about 8-10 lpa which is also very less compared to other IIITs.

from the 7th semester students are eligible for campus placement. companies like microsoft , ibm , tcs actively hire students from the college. the highest package is 47 lpa and average package is 7 lpa .

Course Curriculum Overview:

My decision to choose this course is due the factors such as future career aspirations, passion, parental influence, job opportunities, etc. Our college curriculum prepares the students with benefits to deal with the real world such as a broader sense of community and more opportunities for collaboration. Some suggestions are supporting academic risk, building collaborative relationships, and many other benefits. Exams should be done in such a manner that it provides a good gap Between exams for the students to be mentally and physically stable.

Journey to NIT MANIPUR

Remarks:

It's a nit college so more chance to get placed in any reputed company. You can visit our official Website www.nitmanipur.ac.in to get everything you require. It's placed in a hilly and peaceful area providing good environment for studies. There's food problem a little bit for vegetarians as they focus on non veg more, though they prepare veg foods for vegetarians. Teachers are well learned here. A Good companies visit every year and placement package is also increasing year by year.

From 3rd semester according to their grade, students become eligible for campus placements. I have no ideas about companies but in the prospectus, there are about 10 companies including airtel visited. Above 75 percent students getting placements. To be in a multi-level company.

Admission:

the students require to achieve a minimum 50% in PCM stream in their 10+2.Further along with the application form of the college you're supposed to give the JEE Exam and then through counselling you may get the admission in this college.

I got confirmed admission from KIET Ghaziabad, but chose IIIT Manipur mainly for the IIIT tag. Admission was through JEE Main via JoSAA. I couldn’t get better IIITs due to rank. But if i get the choice to choose that again i will choose any private instute over this because of the location limitations and many other things like fees of herer is far more than most of the private institutes and bettr campus life there is more better than in manipur location and the connictivity of here is also difficult....Read More

This college rank in csab very low and other colleges for same rank are much perfer but in IIIT manipur it gives cse and ece courses for low rank near to 2 lakh in csab. Admission process is very lengthy and so much taking time because it done for over 550 students only in 2 days and also alloting hostel at same time so it too much lengthy and very headache...Read More
