Remarks

Because it is a Government College and I got Computer Science as a major subject which I wanted to opt. I always wanted to study in a Government College,and I was selected in this college so I took admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course is updating every few years,We were not provided with the industrial exposure there is lack in this. Faculties are not so good as It should be in a Government College,I think they need to improve in this.I think Mukesh Batre sir is good lecturer in CSE branch.

Class Size: 58Course Fees: INR 240000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I did internship in a company named Parampara Pvt Lmt. My stipend was 10000 /month.

Placement Experience

Placement and. Job opportunity in this college is very bad,there are only few companies which visit our campus,that too for mining department.We get offers from pool campus or from walkins, entrepreneurship cell is not good,as there are no efforts to keep students participating in this startups.

College Events

Campus life was good, technical and cultural festival we do together in 3-4 days. Like morning will be technical and in evening it will be cultural fest,we keep this fest in march.Fest is actually quite small and we have low budgets and participants are from our own college,colleges near by our place.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes,as a general cast I applied for a scholarship named medhabruti I use to get 10000 every year.We have to submit our college details, account details, Academic repoy,rank in Jee It was different for SC and ST cast students they have to apply bin different scholarship which they get around 40000 - 50000 every year.

Campus Life

It's like in developing stage, developing every year. We don't have our personal playing ground,for major sports like cricket or football,we have small area near boys hostel which we decided to turn into badminton ground. WiFi is available in hostels and labs. Library size is small, they need to have a big space for this. Equipments are also less in labs,if I talk about our labs which was computer labs,we didn't have proper labs for students,we have less computers /person.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are good,we have to share rooms. 3 students have to share a same room, beds are appropriate and available. Seats are not few for boys,but they are few for girls,it is easy to apply for hostel and all will get there rooms assigned for them.

Hostel Fee: INR 12000 per year

I like the vibe of the canteen and greenery around my college

I don't like 75% attendance and the strictness of the faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

The campus life after college hours is quite engaging and helps us develop as a person.
Extra curricular activities are into multiple options.
Faculties are good in nature,they teach us like a friend.

Dislikes

Bad condition of the washrooms ,not cleaned.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum includes the real projects which help learn more practically. It would had been better to have more site and industrial visits and export sessions to learn better.The exams are not so difficulty to score.

Likes

Beautiful campus with lot's of space and with good computer labs
They conduct exam in very smoothly manner

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

It has state-of-the-art architecture with a blend of culture
Has highly talented professors along with efficient pedagogy

The food provided at the mess can be improved to some extent

The pedagogy is excellent since majorly learning is through real-world case studies, reserach papers, peer discussions and interactive class activities. The professors provide materials and pre-reads at the starting of the term and the content is highly focussed on practical learning. The AI sessions are enriching. The difficulty level of exams vary among the instructors but usually is aligned with topics already taught.

there are smart class rooms and good faculty for my course and various extracurricular activities are available for students
you can compete many state and national level competitions such as essay writings, creative writings, debate, poster making, etc.
the management of the university is really commendable. various departments and cells have been established to help students in their academic life such as; placement cells, incubation and innovation centers for young entrepreneurs

Dislikes

students who are engaged in political activities often exercise their dominance over other students
sanitation could be better with the mutual efforts of both the students and the college management
though is a placement cell present, i haven't seen many numbers of students getting employed through the university placement cell

The professor who taught in our class they are taught is best In teaching.
They provide you many opportunities to work upon on you.
The infrastructure of college is good and huge.

Dislikes

The campus is very vast, and you have to walk for every minute of work.
The are very serious about your study and what you are doing
The gate get closed if you get came late even it's 5-10 minute late.

Placement Experience:

It's good as many company come but the placement directly depend on your study and hard work of your 4 year and a pre placement also conduct in 3rd year where you can also get placed. For placement the student should secure 8-10 cgpa for sit in interview exam.

Life of a student in government college of engineering keonjhar

You have to give jee mains and ojee examination to get admission in our college. As my rank was not upto the mark to get admission into vssut or outer but I was fortunate enough to get admission into this college. I would recommend this college if your rank is between 1.5lakh and above. This is the best college you will get in this rank in terms of placements . I've applied for vssut burla and cet bhubaneswar.but I've got in this college and this course from the starting.
