Course Curriculum Overview
Students are open to using more digital materials, but they want campus support and an end to access code costs.When it comes to the use of digital resources, students say they prefer studying with paper materials, but also expect resources and texts to be available online for anytime, anywhere access, according to a recent Pearson report; 57 percent of student surveyed prefer learning on paper, while 56 percent would prefer to have learning materials accessible online.
Placement Experience
Calcutta University have recently concluded the first phase of recruitment where a lot of companies visited to get hold of the new graduates. They even offered a good salary package. However, it should be noted that a huge chunk of CU graduates rejected offers to join startups and new-age tech companies.A final-year Bcom Calcutta student, Ashutosh Kumar landed a job with an attractive salary from an MNC which he declined to come on board with ePlane.ai. The startup has been founded by Ashutosh's senior Pranjal Mehta. The 21-year old joined his senior when he was in his first year at CU and as the startup was developing on campus, Kumar would visit the lab to work with Mehta.
College Events
College auditorium has a seating capacity of about 500 people. It has an advanced light and sound system that is managed by specially designated support staff along with the students. It is equipped with a large stage, two green rooms, comfortable seating, carpeting, wall paneling for acoustic effects, air-conditioners, washrooms, locker and a podium.
