Remarks

The management team of the college are quite vibrant.

Course Curriculum Overview

Each and every student i.e 20 B.Sc in Chemistry students are groomed very well through a good relationship and bonding between the profeesors and the students. Apart from that tests are conducted on regular basis with fair checking procedures. Moreover, Regular practical classes are also conducted so as to make students more attached to lab which provides a direct impact on the students for industrial experience.

Placement Experience

2.5

Sometimes some companies come to hire students from our college. Students do internship from different reputed institution throughout the country such as IIT Guwahati.

College Events

3

Annual College week is celebrated in our college. Apart from that science festivals, Debates, seminars and other events are also celebrated in our college. Bhola Borooah debate is one such debate which is quite popular among the students community of Assam.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My program was B.Sc in Chemistry which was quite feasible. Annual admission fees of around 7000 rupees were collected from students. Apart from that 1700 rupees were also collected as semester fees before each semester examination. The mode of payment was earlier offline but in this era of digitalisation online payments are also taken .

Fees and Financial Aid

The college does not at all provide any scholarship but I availed a scholarship from MHRD, Govt. of India. The details of the students is provided by the college only but the remuneration comes from Govt of India. The Scholarship I availed was 5400 rupees per month.

Campus Life

Gender ratio is quite good in my college . Apart from that cultural events such as General Freshers, College week ending festivals are organised in our college. Moreover seminars are regularly scheduled with speakers coming from very reputed institutions and Industries . No case of intolerance has been observed in our college so far.

Alumni/Alumna

They are very helpful. Specially when we require them outside the college, during our future endeavours. Like in my case when I was in my master's, the seniors from my college helped me out in every aspect like getting proper information and knowledge, in M.Sc project related issues, Guiding me to take further steps for my future.

Admission

I got admission in this college according to my Higher secondary percentage which was 82.4%. After getting admitted I went through an entrance exam to get Chemistry as Honours subject. After publication of merit list, I was selected for B.Sc in Chemistry.

Faculty

3.5

On a regular basis at least three to four lectures each of 1 to 1.5 hours are taken. The average age of the faculties are around 35 to 40 years. Average qualification of the faculties are PhD in Chemistry with essential NET qualification. Each of them are expertise in their respective branches like Organic, Physical, Inorganic, Analytical chemistry.

I choose this course i.e. department of Botany because the department ensuring a strong theoretical foundations along with the practical experience. The course prepares well for students as the acedemic results is always good which will make gratutides well equipped for jobs. Some sections of the course should be updated to meet the latest technology, more guests lectures and the interships should be provided to the students. The exams clustering of multiple exams should be within times which relases unneccsary stress, the exams are conducted easy to insane which is very challenging for the students.
