Remarks

SO overall remarks for the college I attended are 75/100.

Entrance Preview

Direct second year degree through Diploma in Electronics (80.08%). Want to do Electronics from the start so filled out forms for Electronic or EXTC colleges only.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum was good related to the course title progress of teaching was good subject included in sem wise pattern was also better. Elective subjects was also very related to the course 1st 2nd year basic related to course & then 3rd 4th year practical knowledge through projects.

Internships Opportunities

I haven't heard of any internship offered for students in my EXTC dept. But most of the Outside internship were allowed where we can take part in free time.

Placement Experience

3

Placement & job opportunity is offered to all students equally but as we know the core placements were rather not available. For EXTC dept atleast all opportunity were in IT industries. For e.g. infosys, TCS, IVP, L&T etc etc. For packages approximately between 2L-5L.

College Events

4

I personally don't keep knowledge of festivals or events, but I know of Zodiac festival celebrated as tech fest. It is celebrated for atleast 3-5 days with lot of events & programs being held with lot of enjoyment. I attended only once so i know this much only.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is rather competitive with other colleges. According to the fee mention by the colleges for all categories were rather high. At my time for open it was something 85000-90000 per year & 40000-50000 for obc & others i dont know that well.

Fees and Financial Aid

There were some scholarship offered for good percentage thought out the semester. For first & second year there were some scholarship that were given from outside trusts. I don't know much detail of that.

Campus Life

3.5

Gender ratio as I think was quite good. It was seen that any gender can select whatever he/she wants to do with career. There were monthly or occasional workshops on the particular subject with practical approach were arranged from outside. Any student could take part if he/she want. All students were rather well friendly with each other regardless of religion, race, politics & economics status. Same goes for faculty members.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostels were available for students coming from outside region but i heard that hostels were not near the college. There were also some notice for room for renting with group students from last years near college. I stay in mumbai so i don't know much about the hostels details like fees & their food etc.

Alumni/Alumna

I just passed last year from college so connection with alumni is rather not happened yet. But at final year there were some senior students with great admiration towards what they wanted to do.

Exam Structure

Basically pattern was sem wise. Practical exam & theory exam there was enough time given to practical exam oral exam preparation & also for theory exams. Theory exams were also placed for atleast 2 days gaps. OR if you have KT then maybe you will have to attempt on following day also.

Admission

Admission notice declared on DTE website. Went through the process described in their booklet. Notice was declared in mid July or something. CAP Round wise admission was there If selected in 1st round then take admission if want then wait for 2nd & subsequent rounds if selected in 1st 3 options of your college choice then admission compulsory regardless of college.

Faculty

4

Faculty members behavior towards the students was rather friendly anything we need to ask we could ask freely. Well all faculty were not that friendly but even so if we ask anyone we want to know we could ask. Teaching methods of some faculty was somewhat difficult to understand but if we carefully listen it was very interesting.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
