Remarks

This is one of the oldest colleges of Kolkata and being a honors student I always looked for better opportunities and better faculties and also best facilities. And in this college I have found that. The faculties and the facilities have impressed me to select this college and also the library attracts me a lot. As per my conditions I have choose this one.

Course Curriculum Overview

From my point of view the curriculum is very much industry ready as per the recent industry and internship providing company works and as per their requirements and all. Apart from that the faculties are really helpful and they are also very much student friendly. The library has the best affection for me. I used to spent the rest hours of my college in the library and reading the books and journals.

Course Fees: INR 9500 per year

Placement Experience

The job opportunities are not for the B.A. students, B.Com students can get the job opportunities like 60% of the students got placed last year. But for us the college is providing the internship offers that we can grab easily and these are all paid internship offers. The placement department is doing well to get placed the students according to their choices and skills.

College Events

The campus life is really very enjoyable. The students and the teachers have organised the freshers party last year which was very enjoyable. Apart from that the authority organised the cultural fests which made the platform to showcase our talent and the place where lots and lots talents get the stage and the audience too. There are lots of competitions going on every month and students can participate that which is really very enjoyable moments for us.

Faculty is serious and everything happens on time with proper functioning.
I liked the food of my hostel Raman abas that's unique because hostel generally provide average food.
I liked my batchmates, seniors and my hostel mates. They're just love.

Dislikes

The hostel and faculty infrastructure is very old need replacement asap.
Rural location of colleges so urban access of blinkit,zomato etc is unavailable.
Placement numbers here is too short university need to work on that.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly, I was preparing for neet but after neet i was very clear that i want to do this(Agriculture). Practical cum theory approach here will make you a awared man in this field. Placements and Governments seats after UG is very competitive although. In upcoming future everyone will going to focus on larger production in limited land/cultivation area so Agriculture will be needed today and tomorrow.

My Experience at Jaipuria to summed it up.

Likes

Quality education and an academically enriching environment. Most importantly, well- versed professors.
Extra- curriculum activities, along with an active sports cell and NCC, and usually various opportunities to participate in Inter-College Competitions.
Well maintained gym with separate timings for girls and boys. The canteen offers a wide variety of foods at an affordable price.

Dislikes

For my department, there was no educational excursion.
Negligence internship opportunities are available for my course.
Only some placement opportunities are available, and companies like TCS and Wipro came up for campus placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My passion and a bit of curiosity in International Relations led me to choose this course. The curriculum, in fact, prepared me well for further academic pursuits. For improvement, educational excursions and internship opportunities should be made available. The exam is held twice a year on semester basis, with papers set at a moderate to difficult level.

Likes

Campus is nice. There's greenery and all
SOME of the faculties are really good and those said teachers will actually look out for you and care
Mentors are appointed for each students who are responsible for their final year project, publications and LORs. If you are lucky, you'll get a good mentor.

Dislikes

Classrooms are less compared to the number of students. Students have to wander around the building after each classes to find seats. Classrooms are very dirty
There's literally NOTHING in the labs. Experiments take way long to prepare and perform because reagents and equipments are never available.
Hardly a 2 week summer break (because of MAKAUT). Students cannot even apply to good internships because no lab would take in external students in july or august.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Likes

I like the campus , it is quite huge and green , the canteen has both cooked and packed food available, a seperate common room for students and many sports equipment available. Several functions are arranged along with international conferences held
All the faculty members are soft spoken , knowledgeable and friendly, it is easy to find help regarding anything.
Professors are strict about their syllabus and subjects , paying proper attention to the students. Practicals classes are conducted without fail.

Dislikes

There is nothing as such that I disliked because I am a first year student so I haven't been so much involved yet , I think that the washrooms should be cleaned properly to maintain the hygiene apart from thjs everything is fine.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Subjects offered in the college as well as the minor and idc subjects are well adhered to the curriculum and future aspects. The subject combinations are apt and futuristic. It moderately prepares one for real world situations.

College library improvement like to very important because all student did not buying their books for thare financial condition to improvement college library some more books in available in library
College social improvement so good teacher student and principal college management are so good there is the no company about this some problem is happened but not a serious condition as well send every one is the helpful
Teaching method oneplus quality not a problem as well and senior student also helpful any problem they also solve any my education problem was solved educated any problem

Dislikes

Some senior student rudely behaviour on junior student and their ragging junior student like me improve
College management like to improve all student problems as soon as possible there is very getting some problems to solve this
Summer time student are dry condition and heat to like improvement to classroom condition to very cool

I choose this course because the curriculum combines clear theoretical foundations with strong practical exposure, and hands on session influenced by decision most. I felt curriculum was designed not just to teach concepts but to help students understand how those concepts are applied in the real situation

Likes

The skill Development programs which we used to have ik every sem
The culture of the college, relationship with the faculties
Different cultural events, social events

Dislikes

Infrastructure was really bad, we did not have enough practical classes as promised
Library facility was also not good, not enough books for all students
I just got a placement with a CTC of 36k per anum. It was ridiculous to get a job with 3k salary after spending almost 3 lakhs. Also we had to pay separately for internships and all India tour which was included in the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The exam pattern was good. Moderate paper was there. Examiner had done a great job. For the curriculum we always had to pay extra money. In our 7th sem, we had all India tour, we did have any practical classes or theory exam still we had to pay for the practical and library not only that we had to pay for the trip as well.

Dislikes

Distant from kolkata, hence missed out a few opportunities.
Work load during internship is too much, no time to sleep propelry during the heavy subjects.

Placement Experience:

You can start practicing as an independent doctor only after completing internship, and getting registered to a council. During internship you get paid >31k/m The college provides housestaffship to students according to their ranks in academics, @monthly pay of 50k/m After the degree one can go for private practice, or for government MO jobs, or prepare for NEET PG for further studies.

Faculties are awesome, as they help us in anything even not related to study .
Many chances to learn. We have hospital visits too.
There are fests and sports, so can embrace our that side too.

Dislikes

Books are pricy a bit, but we need them for knowledge.
Triple sharing room which creates a mess sometimes.
Nothing else I can find which needs improvement

After 9th sem No companies . We just appear for neet pg exam if neet pg cleared - 70000 If not cleared - 50000 neet pg percentage will be nearly 4 in 100 housestaff will be 20 in 100 I will try INICET

I applied for many college not only Surender nath I apply in Balurghat Kuwait college Siliguri college Raiganj University and Ashutosh college and also surendranath College where I am now study in. The reason of choice this college is the college is very good and there is no ragging issue even the college authorities are take strict action for ragging issues the professors are very good and their very caring and harmful and the college is to closer from Shailesh station where I can easily private for my home and college in under of the prestigious University called Calcutta University that's why I take admission in this college. I am not rejecting of any college where I applied but I choose surendranath because this college is suitable for my situations and I happy to study in this college. I applied in many colleges like THK, bangabasi, jaipuria, maulana azad and many more. I chose this college because of its low fees and its less restrictive. And also its convenient to reach. One needs more than 50% percent to get admission in thjs college. Students with higher higher marks gets preference in admission. I chose this college because it was near my house. Actually during school I lost so much time travelling so I was very sure that I would choose a college near me.
