The college is nearby from my home.goos ambience.so much helpful teachers.effective lectures.good classes.prosperous lab.that is why i took admission in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

There are so many faculties in chemistry honours.like forensic expert.chemical engineer.chemist.professor in chemistry.school teachers.

Likes

The IIT brand value.Great placements and internship opportunities
Competitive peers and lots of ongoing.Great environment
Lush green campus, lots to explore and great infrastructure

Dislikes

Rigorous academics, hectic exam schedules
Hostel infrastructure is quite old and mess food quality is just acceptable.
Professors teaching style can be quite boring as well

Placement statistics of IIT Kharagpur is excellent with multiple offers made across software, quant, consulting , analytics and core domain.Major companies like Google, Microsoft, Optiver, Visa,Mastercard visit the campus each year for recruitment.Highest packages are offered by quant companies and can go upto 2 - 2.5 crore per annum

Campus is nice. There's greenery and all
SOME of the faculties are really good and those said teachers will actually look out for you and care
Mentors are appointed for each students who are responsible for their final year project, publications and LORs. If you are lucky, you'll get a good mentor.

Dislikes

Classrooms are less compared to the number of students. Students have to wander around the building after each classes to find seats. Classrooms are very dirty
There's literally NOTHING in the labs. Experiments take way long to prepare and perform because reagents and equipments are never available.
Hardly a 2 week summer break (because of MAKAUT). Students cannot even apply to good internships because no lab would take in external students in july or august.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Likes

I like the campus , it is quite huge and green , the canteen has both cooked and packed food available, a seperate common room for students and many sports equipment available. Several functions are arranged along with international conferences held
All the faculty members are soft spoken , knowledgeable and friendly, it is easy to find help regarding anything.
Professors are strict about their syllabus and subjects , paying proper attention to the students. Practicals classes are conducted without fail.

Dislikes

There is nothing as such that I disliked because I am a first year student so I haven't been so much involved yet , I think that the washrooms should be cleaned properly to maintain the hygiene apart from thjs everything is fine.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Subjects offered in the college as well as the minor and idc subjects are well adhered to the curriculum and future aspects. The subject combinations are apt and futuristic. It moderately prepares one for real world situations.

College library improvement like to very important because all student did not buying their books for thare financial condition to improvement college library some more books in available in library
College social improvement so good teacher student and principal college management are so good there is the no company about this some problem is happened but not a serious condition as well send every one is the helpful
Teaching method oneplus quality not a problem as well and senior student also helpful any problem they also solve any my education problem was solved educated any problem

Dislikes

Some senior student rudely behaviour on junior student and their ragging junior student like me improve
College management like to improve all student problems as soon as possible there is very getting some problems to solve this
Summer time student are dry condition and heat to like improvement to classroom condition to very cool

I choose this course because the curriculum combines clear theoretical foundations with strong practical exposure, and hands on session influenced by decision most. I felt curriculum was designed not just to teach concepts but to help students understand how those concepts are applied in the real situation

My experience was very interesting while pursuing my graduation in The Neotia University

Likes

The skill Development programs which we used to have ik every sem
The culture of the college, relationship with the faculties
Different cultural events, social events

Dislikes

Infrastructure was really bad, we did not have enough practical classes as promised
Library facility was also not good, not enough books for all students
I just got a placement with a CTC of 36k per anum. It was ridiculous to get a job with 3k salary after spending almost 3 lakhs. Also we had to pay separately for internships and all India tour which was included in the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The exam pattern was good. Moderate paper was there. Examiner had done a great job. For the curriculum we always had to pay extra money. In our 7th sem, we had all India tour, we did have any practical classes or theory exam still we had to pay for the practical and library not only that we had to pay for the trip as well.

First of all the placements are good. The teachers are awesome. The environment is sweet and any one can stay here very comfortably. Maximum students are very talented, hardworking and intelligent, everyone has a big aim in life.
The functions of the college at any event and at any fastival are very interesting.
The indoor games and outdoor games facilities available.

Dislikes

The building are getting old they should have to paint the buildings and decorate.
The hostel for PG students is not good specially for girls.

Placement Experience:

In M.Tech. the students are eligible for placements after second sem. The highest package is 56lpa giving by Microsoft. The average placement pakage for CSE is around 10lpa. 90 percent students getting placed.

Faculties are awesome, as they help us in anything even not related to study .
Many chances to learn. We have hospital visits too.
There are fests and sports, so can embrace our that side too.

Dislikes

Books are pricy a bit, but we need them for knowledge.
Triple sharing room which creates a mess sometimes.
Nothing else I can find which needs improvement

After 9th sem No companies . We just appear for neet pg exam if neet pg cleared - 70000 If not cleared - 50000 neet pg percentage will be nearly 4 in 100 housestaff will be 20 in 100 I will try INICET

Average Makaut college with no placements.

Likes

You can focus on gate, or any other job teachers are helpful no issue of attendance.
easily pass as syllabus is not hard,and get a B.tech degree.

Dislikes

poor infracture, lack of resources such as sports facility.
Less qualified teachers with no PHDs, and familiar with basic knowledge.
No placements, whatever you can do is off campus only

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is perceived as average , lacking specific elements that might make it stand out. In my case, the motivation was not to waste a year by opting for a drop. The flexibility in attendance which let me focus on other interests. The curriculum is same as MAKAUT, and the exam frequency is also controlled by MAKAUT .Areas of improvement is infrastructure and better faculty.

Honest opinion about Basirhat college

After completing HS if you want to study English at Basirhat college the eligibility for this course is very straight. You have to have a minimum of 50% marks in higher secondary exams. And you can come from science commerce and arts background. College does not take any entrance. The complete admission process is merit-based only. After completing HS(10+2) you have to fill up the form from the college's official website. The merit will be created based on the best of 4 subject marks you have got in HS. The average of 4 subjects plus your Madhyamik exam marks will be deciding factor. The more marks you got the higher your chance of getting admission. Minimum 70 per cent marks are required for admission. After you appear on the merit list initial admission fee is Rs 2700. Yes reservation seats are available...Read More

3 years journey in Basirhat College

For the BA General course, you have to pass the West Bengal higher secondary exam with a minimum of 45% marks in class 12. Admission is based on the marks. So 45% marks will not be enough. If you want to study here you have to get a minimum of 60% marks. A lot of seats are available but a lot of students apply every year. More numbers you get in your class 12 marks more chance to appear in merit lists. If you belong to a minority like SC/ST/OBC you have some seats reserved. One more thing supposes if you take geography history & Sanskrit as a general subject you must have these subjects in class 12. The admission form is on our college website. If you want to study BA pass course here the eligibility criteria are very simple. You have to get a minimum of 70% marks in your west Bengal higher secondary final exam. And admission process is directly based on your 12 mark. If you get good marks you will get admission very easily. You can choose the subject while opting for this BA general course. In my case, I have taken Bengali, History & Sanskrit because I had good marks on those subjects in my 12th exam. The application form is completely online.
