The best part of this university is that the faculty members are really good. They are highly experienced, and experts in their respective field. The only bad aspect that I found is that the canteen, washroom, and the girl's common room needs to be improved a lot. The admission process is done merit wise. Calcutta university Karakol is solely for the subject of Economics. The faculty members are really good, they teach in a good interactive manner, highly experienced, and also students friendly. All the faculty members are ph.d holders, there are some assistant and associate professors also. The teacher-student ratio is good, students usually get individual attention from the teachers. The exams are taken in semester wise. There is an internal assessment each semester. Both the marks are clubbed together in the marks sheet

Yes, the University of Calcutta Economics department provides internship opportunities. But it's very limited. And the stipend is also not much. It's around 10,000 Rupees. The internships are provided for a short period of 1month to 3 months.

The university provides marvelous placement opportunities. There are many renowned companies visiting the chamois. They hire deserving students. There are different selection processes for different companies. The package scale is also high. The highest pay scale is 8LPA.

The semester-wise fees are very reasonable. It is around 1200-1400. This is subject to changes. There are no scholarships provided by the university. But the university authority forwards any kind of state and central scholarships, in case of the student avail those.

The campus is more like home. There are only around 300 students(only Economics students) on the campus. The campus is spacious, the rooms are big enough to accommodate the students. The field is also quite big. It gives a home-like feeling.
