Remarks

This college was quite near to my home, had a lush green campus, professors were mostly PhD, the fees were quite economical. The number of annual research papers, international conferences, was also quite high from this college. The admission process was smooth and completely online. I read good reviews about this University on quora as well.

Course Curriculum Overview

I had an interest in Physics therefore I decided to pursue this course as I wish to be a teacher. The professors in this University and for my course were mostly PhD and NET qualified. The course curriculum was vast and in every semester the curriculum was divided into three segments- theory, practical and project. The student to faculty ratio was 18:1. The teachers were easily approachable and they mostly focused on practical aspects. The terms exams were in every 4 to 5 months and their difficulty level was moderate.

Class Size: 18Course Fees: INR 55000 per year

Placement Experience

Students of 4th and 6th semester are eligible for placements. Only BPOs, local call centres, companies offering sales profile and few IT companies visit the campus for placements and average package offered is 2.4 LPA. Around 15-30 companies visit the campus every year. The highest package offered was 9 Lpa by byjus for sales profile and the average was 2.4 LPA. I am planning to continue with the job and further doing masters.

Fees and Financial Aid

Every semester there was a fee hike of 5% which was almost negligible as the course fee per semester itself was very less. There were no scholarships or financial assistance provided. I was placed in Infosys through campus placement with a package of 2.50 LPA.

Campus Life

There are 2 fests conducted annually. The one is a cultural fest and another one is urjaa. The library is quite wonderful and anyone with a college ID card can issue 2 books at a time. The journals are available digitally on the college website. There is one cricket ground, football ground, basketball court where inter-college competitions are held. Every department has few sports coordinators who work actively in organizing sports activities. There were quite fewer college clubs and notifications for sports and other activities were given by WhatsApp.

My honest review of MBPG College

Likes

Being a government college the fees are very low and student friendly most teachers are knowledgeable supportive and clear in explanation focus on studies exam and all over all discipline
Open ground greenery and enough space to relax between classes decent collection of academic books and difference material
Easy to reach from different part of Haldwani lesson unnecessary pressure more focus on its education

Dislikes

Infrastructure is old type som building needs to get repair
Campus placement opportunity are very few from classroom slabs and building need renovation
Not many model amenties compared to private colleges office works can be slow

The curriculum follows kumaun University guidelines ensure standardization and recognition core subjects are well structured and concept curriculum should a include more practical exposure projects work and field work examination are conducted semester wise and generally twice year internal assessments include test assignments and practicals during the semester

Likes

Social life is good with feat happening around in college.
Wifi is provided in our building and the hostel.
Infrastructure of our new hostel and our labs is good

Dislikes

Teachers are qualified but the quality education is not good
Too much restriction on girls but boys are free to roam at night.
Mess food is just acceptable not that good.

Placement Experience:

For campus placement students need to be atleast in last or second last semester of the course. But for internship it's fine even if student is in 1st or 2nd yr. But most of teh students here decided to pursue master from here only and I still don't know have exact idea hown many students got placed in th companies.

Why it's the best...

Likes

They prioritize education and teaching more
Social interaction with others in college is appreciable
Lab is fully equipped for experiments or practicals

Dislikes

Campus of our college is not too good and small
Absence of ac in library and other needed areas
Quality of infrastructure of classes is little bit poor

Placement Experience:

When one enters the final semester they become eligible for campus placement and many companies offers and discusses with them. Companies such as IGL, Vib care pharma, AVANTOR and many others visits every year with offers.

I like the hostel security and there are no ragging
Good teachers and friendly. Helping us lot.
Good infrastructure and better environment..

Dislikes

Hostel food is not so good. Small hostel room

Placement Experience:

From 7 semester student are eligible for placement. There are various plywood industries and forest base non Timber industries and cricket industries. The highest average package is like 4.5 lakh per year.

Likes

I liked mostly the environment of my college. College. was situated in hills . So the peace , the environment, weather, education everything was perfect. The rooms , library, the field of our college
The education system of our college was good .I liked the most the education system every faculty was good and take responsibility of each students.the teaching was of faculty was superb . Every we understand easily. The also teach us on ppt .
Department of science,arts each department was available and a big auditorium for function parties was there. Each subject lab also there . lab instruments lso available

Dislikes

One thing was I disliked was due to cold weather or snowfall dec to february college is closed.
I disliked the book issue system it takes maximum time to get a book from my college.
The period was too long . Not only 1 hour it almost 2 hour classes.

I chooses the best course. Because my faculty was good I can ask him freely if I have any doubt. And it increases my interest in my subject. And the experiment we do make us progressive for our future. Yes but one thing I will say the duration of time period will be increase

I went for this college mainly because it is just little far from my home which is better because it near my house in just kilometres only that's why I go for this college and admission process for this college as they give scholarship of girls 5%. Things to Know about Uttaranchal University before admission.

I have applied also for Chandigarh Group of Colleges Landran and mohali , Chandigarh University and Quantum University Haridwar I have got a confirm addmission in chandigarh group of colleges mohali but I haven't got admission there as it was far away from my home. Also I got registered in Quantum University by submitting 10000 registration fees but later on I have changed my college to Uttaranchal University anyhow even I don't know why even I was selected and fulfilled the criteria for all other applied colleges.
