Entrance Preview

I wrote CET. I was interested in this college since it was konkani linguistic. And i had many other relatives who had studied in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course is general. No much knowledge is gained regarding the present trends and technologies. It is all that is present which is basics and something which is not use in industries today. The knowledge is not industry oriented. And no new innovations is made which is a very necessary.

Internships Opportunities

No inernship as such. They provided us links and contacts to approach organizations to do internship. They were always encouraging and taught us the importance of internships in order to get placed in a well established organization.

Placement Experience

3

The placements are good, one of the best in the area. Average is same as all 3.5 lpa. The placement officer was one of the best public in the state when we joined the college but unfortunately she shifted to another college. But still the new placement department was equally good and successfully got many companies and all the placed in count was almost 90% of those eligible.

College Events

3.5

There were college days, sports day and various branch fests. Different cultural events were organised for the college fest for which participants from other colleges were there. Branch fests were organised by individual branches. The events organised were more of technical.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its all part of the the CET structure. But individually the fee seems to be a little more than other colleges. The hostel fees was expensive. The college fees was a little more as compared to those in the area. So the overall fees including the Cet fees was a all the more .

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, but i have no information regarding that. Scholarships were regularly provided to the merit students by the managements. Loan I have no much knowledge since i did not have the need for it.

Exam Structure

It was in based on the VTU scheme. The number of hours was all the based on the university scheme. The schedule was comfortable enough to be managed. There were 3 internals and a lab session every week for every subject. The labs were updated. The time tables were developed in a systematic matter.

Admission

It was in all done through the CET and process. During the cet admission to counselling we put in the college code and within few days the colleges were allotted based on our preferences. If we were interested we were to go and post the college fees along with then cet fees.

Faculty

3

Good faculty. Some lecturers were really good and informative. They were very friendly and always ready to help, not just academically but socially as well. They would encourage us for co curricular activity as well. They were teachers and are very important part in developing us.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the NIAT curriculum around four out of five. In my opinion, it is good that the curriculum is not only based on theoretical studies. The inclusion of coding, projects, assignments, and practical knowledge is quite engaging for the students, as they can apply the acquired information in practice. Additionally, I find the curriculum up to date compared to the standard Btech syllabus, which mainly focuses on theoretical background. However the curriculum could have fewer assignments, as some of them are rather time consuming and require additional study to achieve a better understanding of a particular subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally, I was interested in ECE course since I liked working around chips and was intrigued by how they worked, which is what led me to choosing this course. The curriculum is not the best for real-world applications since the syllabus is pretty outdated. The teaching does involve smart boards and can be visual as well, but it can be utilized better by the professors. A semester lasts for around 5 months, with the last month only involving SEE (Semester End Examinations) and the first four months consisting of 2 CIE tests in the 2nd and 4th months. It also involves practical examinations.

Placement Experience:

The on-campus usually starts in 6th Semester. A company called MathCo was the first company it came for the role of analyst. Around 5-7 people got selected. The average package would be usually around 4-4.5 LPA, but highest package was 6.25 from PlanetSpark for role of Sales. The percentage is nearly to 10-12%. After degree, get a job and work for atleast 2 years for learning current trends is my basic thought as of now.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course I adopted since I couldn't do my neet. In 2nd year I thought of taking CSE . I GOT MANY SEATS IN OTHER COLLEGES FOR OTHER COURCES. But I wanted to adopt only CSE based . I mean social or economical or design thinking and scientific foundation.. these courses are of no use while learning engineering so this might be the drawback . Exams are conducted very strictly in our clg and I appreciate that !
