Madras Christian College is popularly known as MCC. It is famous for its huge greenery campus and friendly atmosphere. It has been functioning for nearly a decade. It also has various living species which is being raised by the faculty which makes MCC a more eco-friendly place for the students. MCC has been located in a short distance from the Tambaram railway station as you can reach the college by 2 minutes of walk from the railway station and has a bus stop which is in the opposite of the college. The college and faculty members are very friendly to the students and it also has a union for the students. Many students from the MCC has been succeeded in their career life. MCC admission has been filled up for this academic year. Applications for the next academic year(2021-2022) starts on April 2021. I preferred this college since it is highly reputed and also for the high-quality campus facilities. They also have various cultural programmes for the enjoyment of students.

I have chosen the Bachelor of Computer Applications(BCA) since I am interested in computer science and this college provides various opportunities in the field of modern growing technologies. MCC has a greater campus opportunity from reputed companies like Deloitte, cognizant, HCL, etc. The faculty members of the BCA department have completed Doctorate programmes and also PhDs which can help the students to gain more knowledge. The term exam doesn't have much stress. They occur once in a 2 months span and at the end of 6 months, we will be having a semester exam. The term exam will not be that difficult since they cover 5 to 6 units per semester and they will be divided for the term exams.

The students are eligible for the campus interview from the completion of 5th semester which is, they are eligible to take campus interview after successful completion of half of their 3rd year of the course and they will be generally held in the month of November and December. Every year various companies have been selecting students from MCC such as Deloitte, Cognizant, Infosys, HCL, etc. Each year around 40 to 50 students will be placed out of 80 students of that current batch. The students of MCC has been getting quite higher packages when compared to other colleges. Students from MCC has been getting a package around 8.5 lakh per annum which is a quite higher package as the other students will have to have a 3year of experience to attain this package. Around 60 - 70% of students getting placed every year. I have being palnned to do masters in the same college.

Madras Christian College has two sessions for the study of students. The morning session is known as 'Aided' and the afternoon session is known as 'Self Financed Stream(SFS)'. The aided session is governed by the government and they collect only the basic fee as directed by the government. SFS session is being governed by separate management and they will charge for the management. The fee has to paid per semester only. The fee varies upon the sessions as well as the streams. The morning session has a lesser fee when compared to the afternoon session. The BCA course has a fee range of Rs 45000-55000 per year.

Madras Christian College is mainly known for its cultural events. The college's various hostel conducts various events. The main cultural fest of the Madras Christian College is 'Deepwoods'. It happens every year in the month of February. It also has various teams for the various sports. It has an athletic team, football team, volleyball team, basketball team, cricket team, and many more teams which has won various awards in the State level games. The college has a union known as ' College Union Society' which is very helpful in helping students to solve their doubts and problems with the management.

The admission for the MCC college will be through the online process only. Applications from the various students will be received and they will be categorised according to their applied courses. The main priority will be given to the students who have attained more marks in the field of their applied course. Once the application is submitted through the MCC portal, students have to wait for the management to release the student's list who have been shortlisted for the course. The shortlisted students will be called for the certificate verification after the completion of fee payment. Then college will be reopened on the said date.
