Karishma Gupta's Review On Lovely Professional University - [LPU], Jalandhar

The admission process is somehow the same as for other colleges: pass with 60% or more in 10+2 (5% relaxation to northeast state and Sikkim students, defense personnel, and their dependents/ wards of Kashmiri migrants). My reason for preferring this college over others is the kind of exposure they provide. They provide ample opportunity to grow, like- training programs, grooming, seminars, conferences, guest lectures, and whatnot. they don't focus only on curriculum although they have well updated, they also pay attention to all improvement for individual. Your college life will be fun with lots of student welfare activities including cultural, enjoyment, talent shows, and many more. A very beautiful campus with a cool and friendly environment to enjoy. the bad point about college is the hectic schedule with a mandatory 75% attendance, which means you will be fully loaded with your curriculum for the whole course duration that if you want to do something extra you need to manage on your own.

Our course curriculum was very informative and as per industry demand. We got to learn about financial planning and performance, a workshop on computer applications, legal aspects of business, business economics, income tax laws, GST and custom law, and more. It was a total of 38 subjects we studied including CMA subjects(Hons. students get privileged to learn CMA also). Our CGPA is calculated on basis of CAs, examinations, internships. the exam difficulty level is moderate to difficult. The faculty members are very helpful and polite in nature. They even helped me out of their working hours. Most faculties are from IIM or elite B-school. They have years of experience. They apply every single technique to make students understand the concept. The student and faculty ratio is 20:1

I didn't opt for placement but as per my knowledge lpu doesn't provide that many remarkable placements as they show. from the second last year of the course students are eligible for campus placements and internships. Some top recruiters in recent years are- tech Mahindra, cognizant, Wipro, bosch, Capgemini, Amazon, Intel, Flipkart, and many more. The highest package they claim is rupees 42 lakh with a 100% placement record however honestly will suggest you don't go as per the data, all colleges have some different insights.

At my time per semester, the fee was 39500 per semester however I paid 19500 per semester (both are excluding examination and any other fee). At that time I got -10000 as an EDB benefit and was opted for the LPUNEST exam and my score falls under the percentage slab so I got another 10000 deductions over there. They provide a very easy scholarship opportunity, you need to attempt the LPUNEST exam for a scholarship, however, they closed giving EDB benefits nowadays. You can also opt for an educational loan easily. students can also get on-campus jobs socially during semester breaks. Overall the college fees are quite decent comparing all the benefits they serving to students and have great education delivering system.

Lovely is lovely indeed, with 30k students from 28 states and 50 countries at campus spread over 600 acres, I promise you will enjoy your campus life. You will find n number of events like- one India, one world, spectra, PTC Punjabi finale, sunburn campus, campus princess, coke studio, youth vibe, and many to showcase your talent and to enjoy. Lpu offers the best platform to flourish your talent there is a separate block inside for students (DSW) where you will find so many curriculum activities happening to advance your talent from singing, dancing, acting, sports, culture, and many more. over 2000 clubs and organizations have been registered for student welfare (udaan, wings of hope, Shankara, and many more). Every block has its own library and one central library with more than 20 lakh material and other E-books where you will get all the study material whatever you need. It has the most amazing infrastructure classroom with AC, Chairs, projector, boards everything that is needed.
