Remarks

Not so costly college as compared to other colleges in Bhubaneshwar and is upto the standards too. The placements in this college are always genuine, which isn't a case for few other colleges. Also my sister was a passout from the same college in the year 2016 and she's now a TCS Employee too.

Course Curriculum Overview

BPUT Course Curriculum is being followed which is age old and not used anymore. Faculties are also aware of it, but they are helpless. I was taught PHP when ReactJS and AngularJS were taking up the world. However, now our college has been turned into an Autonomous Institute and the courses have been updated to a greater extent.

Class Size: 57Course Fees: INR 135000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Scientia Innovation Pvt. Ltd. - 2000/month (Software Developer Intern) via Internshala, Dopetech Inc. - 1000/month (Content Writing Intern) via Internshala

Placement Experience

3.5

Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra are mass recruiters. Rest companies which come to our college do take only 2-digit number of students.

College Events

3.5

Not much of extra curricular activities. Two big fests happen in the college. A sports event in a year is must. Faculties have their cricket match once a year when the classes are suspended so that they get relieved from the boredom.

Campus Life

Library is great. Food is better than other popular and costlier colleges in Bhubaneshwar. Equipments of the labs are good. WiFi is only accessible in the Academic buildings only. No access to WiFi in Hostel.

Hostel Facilities

No, WiFi in Hostel. Wardens are strict with the Hostel in and out timings. Daily attendance is taken. If child not in hostel then a message is sent to the registered mobile number of parents. Proper leave must be applied in case of absence from hostel.

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

JEE-Mains, 2017, 78

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

A pretty good college with scope of improvement

Likes

The campus life is amazing. Our student union is extremely hard-working, and they always come up with some events or other to make your boredom go away
Faculties are very knowledgeable and unlike most colleges, they actually want to teach. The clinical experience is unmatched
Infrastructure is top notch. Single rooms are available from second year, and the hostels are quite well maintained

Dislikes

The curriculum is a bit too strict regarding marks and attendance. A little leniency would have been better
The campus area is a little smaller compared to other AIIMS
Too much administrative red tape causes delay in almost everything, be it installation of new water filters or filling a pothole

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to become a doctor, and MBBS is the first step to become one, so I choose this course. This course makes you a primary care physician, capable of providing basic healthcare services. And being a bachelor's degree, this is a stepping stone for the future endeavours in medico life. Though I feel there's room for improvement in the flexibility of the course, as there's not much to choose what to study. Exams are once in 2-3 months, and are moderately difficult, except the professional exams, for which you have to put your best efforts

Teaching is very good here , all the teachers are good except a few
Supportive seniors, help with studies n all
You will get a good environment for studies

Dislikes

Well campus isn't as we expected it to be
As always you have to choose your friends wisely
There's not a lot of fests going on yearly as like other colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well MBBS is a serving degree, if you are interested in serving the people you can choose this degree. It also needs a lot of patience, here we have classes from 7 AM so its a bit hard to wake up this early & ends at 4 PM which causes more trouble coz u won't get to rest properly, usually we end up being tired & lack of sleep, so I think this schedule can have a bit more change with regards to us children. The exams here are done very frequently, as in the class tests are taken up time to time , sometimes surprise tests are also done so u have to be very updated with what's being studied each cls.The internals are held in every trimester & at the end of the year a product exam is being held which is the important one.

Anonymous's Review On Silicon University, Bhubaneswar

I choose this college as its academic studies is really good. Rules and curriculum are really strict here, There are strict rules against raging,No one dares to do so,And unlike other near by colleges like KIIT or ITER the placement is not that good but the quality of knowledge is great. Here u ll have to struggle to secure marks not just u get the questions. Here the fees are also less as compared to other big universities but yes the infrastructure is not that high-tech. We had 4 branches till 2019 and in the upcoming years we r going to have 7 of them all are IT and electrical related branches. Comming to the demerits there is very less but one of the major is that any issues or incontinence if caused (like money mater, results, rechecking of answersheet) are not solved properly its like the authority simply ignores it. And some rules and regulations are made up like that that the student will not get benefited. They will keep u busy with their assignment, test, projects 24*7 which is in my behalf not right atleast there must be some relaxation....Read More
