My college review

I have some great memories of my college and campus life. The management of the college was just average because it was a government organisation.

Except the 1st year, the course curriculum is on point. The curriculum helps in building the theoretical knowledge but not industrial knowledge.so students find little bit difficult to get into the industry.yes there were several industrial visits organised by the college.

Deepak phenolics, saint gobain, rubamin, petronet lng etc. Are the companies that visited our college for the placement drives. General steps were: writing test of technical knowledge and aptitude, group discussion (solely based on company's criteria) and last round of interview. On average 30-40% students are placed from the campus. Yes, our institution conducted some lecturers or seminars on the soft skills needed in the interview.

Every year our college holds technological fest called techtonic in February or March. Cultural fest is also organised every year. Plus fresher's party is also organised. Also sports events are held. In the technical fest the students from various colleges come and take part. They are of state level. Cultural fest and fresher's party and sporting events are of college level only.

The fee structure is very affordable. The fee is Rs2900 per year. And for girl candidate's it's only 1500Rs per year. All types of online payment methods are accepted and plus offline banking method is also available.no there are no additional charge for the fees. Yes the transperancy in the fee breakdown is clearly provided.

No, as the college fees are minimal and it's quite affordable, I didn't opted for any scholarships or educational loan. Yes there is a scheme TFWS in which students get 50% off the fees. That is only Rs1500 per year. The eligibility criteria was based on the merit list prepared by the University.

The gender ratio is a in my course. On average there are 5 girls on 100 boys in chemical department. The worst gender ratios is in mechanical department. The civil, electrical and electronics department had better gender ratio. On there is no student dorm parties. There is no discrimination in our college. All religions, races and cultures are respected and tolerated in our college.

No, I didn't opted for the hostel.The hostel rooms are okay types. Not bad not good. The room's are shared by 3 students. The average rents of the room's per person is about Rs600. The hostel is just beside the College. The quality of hostel is good but not too good. It provides basic facilities.

Yeah the seniors are very helpful. Though I had very less interactions with seniors, I know that there was good friendship between senior and juniors. When I become the senior I had gave useful insights to my juniors whenever they needed.

As I loved chemistry in my 11-12th standard,I opted for this course. As there are numerous chemical industries in bharuch and near bharuch, I opted for this college. It's based on merit list prepared by marks of JEE examination and marks of 11-12th STD.

There are about 30 lecturers and 6 labs per week. The average age of the faculty is about 40 years. There is only PhD faculty in chemical department, 2 faculty members are pursuing PhD and rest all faculty members are masters. the senior most faculty members have good industrial and practical clarity about the subjects. But the new faculty member's lack in-depth knowledge of the subjects. only one faculty member had industrial experience.
