Entrance Preview
I took UPTU Enterance examination. My rank was around 4200 and got a free seat in Computer Science & Engineering. It was one of the best college in NCR region when i appeared for counselling.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course content was up to the level of any competent technical education college. The syllabus for each semester was neatly defined and the faculty was adequately qualified to cover all the subjects, up to the required depth. The theory as well as practical syllabus of each semester prove useful at the time of sitting for placements.
Internships Opportunities
The college at our times didn't provide any internship. There were some tie-ups with some companies where paid internship was provided. I am not aware of any stipend been paid to any of the student at that time.
Placement Experience
The placement is really well. Almost all major IT companies come on campus for placements. It has now converted into a deemed university, so the placement would have improved by now. Almost all companies provide a CTC of 3-4 LPA. The opportunities are expected to keep on improving with time.
College Events
The college didn't score well on this front. There was a fresher party and an annual fest that was also not very impressive. It seem to have improved after its deemed university status as per the news. The marketing and media management has also improved significantly.
Fee Structure And Facilities
When i studied over there, i got admission via a free seat. It was not very expensive at that time. I paid around 55000 per year. But as per latest news and updates, it has significantly increased over the years and it's close to 80000 per semester now.
Fees and Financial Aid
There were no scholarships when i passed out of college but there were some schemes which provided some financial benefits to the student making a mark at the university level.
Campus Life
There were students from all zones, in India mostly from UP. There were some event of debates and some related to entertainment but they were not in plenty. There were some groups which were formed by the students and they used to organise some events, at times.
Exam Structure
As per the previous times, there used to be 2 sessional exams and a final semester exam. The practical exams used to be conducted only after the final semester exams. Since now, it has changed to a deemed university, the exam pattern would have also been changed now.
Faculty
The faculty was adequately qualified to cover all the subjects, up to the required depth. The theory as well as practical syllabus of each semester prove useful at the time of sitting for placements. Some of the faculties were IITians and PhDs from reputed colleges around the world.
