Remarks

College management works good but it works the way it works. I have heard things have changed after the VC changed. But overall it is better than other colleges out there. Sometimes you will see mismanagement but its not everywhere in the college. And aga

Entrance Preview

I appeared in AIEEE and got a rank of 17051. Thankfully I got this college and a decent branch MCE. I had other options like Engineering Physics, Environmental, Chemical & Polymer and biotechnology. Out of these branches MCE seemed to be the best option and after 4 years proved to be one as it had one of the best placements in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Course curricullum conatins roughly 70% mathematics and 30% computer science. The subjects of computer science covered diverse topics ranging from digital logic abd design to soft computing. Whereas the mathematics subjects were comparable to b.sc hons. With some additions.

Internships Opportunities

Internship experience was good and the stipend i got was 30000 per month (ya, no type error there). But not every student gets internship in good companies. Some students have to do then in college only where they dont get any stipends.

Placement Experience

2.5

Thats the biggest strength of DTU. One of the best companies visit here and if you dont have any backlogs, you will be placed definitely.

College Events

2.5

There are a plethora of technical events. More than I care to count. There are various cultural activities as well. Though cultural fests are not always exuberant but they maintain certain standard evry year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I paid a fee of 42000/year and I think now the fees is 64000/year. Whether its more or less, you decide for yourself. In my opinion, its quite feasible. In fact many students from poor backgrounds were there in the college. The fees is to be paid once an year and almost all modes of payments are excepted.

Fees and Financial Aid

This is a question I dont have much info about, so I will not answer this question. Though Thr toppers of every branch get cash prizes of around 15000 every semester, I havent heard about any other scholarships.

Campus Life

2

Gender ratio doesnt qualify as healthy. The number of girls has increased though but still there is imbalance. There are various cultural societies and there were no instances of intolerance during my time. There is harmony in the campus and one does not see any kind of dominance of some group.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

Hostels are a weak point here. Only other state students get them. If you live far in Delhi, you will face problems.

Alumni/Alumna

One of the strong point of DTU is a big alumni base. Name a company and chances are there will be some alumni sitting on the top ranks. College has also taken initiative to provide collaboration with alumnis.

Exam Structure

Its all pretty good. Hectic is a word you dont use much in DTU. There is only one sessional exam per semester. Labs schedule is also there but its not hectic at all. I can confidently say that jo student feels that his day is hectic in DTU

Faculty

2.5

Faculty was good. There atmosphere in the classroms was mainly friendly and there was no undue pressure of studies from the teaching staff. Professors were very helpful. Though every professor was different and had different expectations, it was not diffi

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

This college has a great placement. 80% of students do place every year. If you got no placement then they will give you the opportunity to start the startup. starting the 4th year you get the placement and opportunities. this college visits many companies like Amazon HCL Flipkart etc. this college's highest package is 26 LPA and the average package is 10.5 LPA. 80% of students get placed. my plan is after taking the degree I will start my startup.
