Remarks

I order to compete in today's competitive world, college management should come up with new ideas to make students up to date so that when they join corporate would they should be able to compete.

Entrance Preview

I took Sikkim CET. I choose my college based on my ranking. I wasn't much aware of college much until I reached there.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

It's an autonomous college. Course curriculum is good. More live projects should be included in course. More focus on research and development would be appreciated. Projects in every year would also bring more technical experience in students apart from just labs.

Internships Opportunities

No internship provided during our time. Unaware of now whether they provide or not. It would be great if internship is provided.

Placement Experience

3

During my time companies like Infosys, Mindtree had come for placement. More than 50% of students were placed from my department. Overall for college around 30% were placed. More companies should be invited for all the branches not only for IT but for other departments as well.

College Events

3

Cultural events, technical events more events would make students develop in others than studies. Events which will help in personality building. This will help when one joins the corporate world. As the competition is too high in outside world and these things acts as value add.

Fee Structure And Facilities

132000 via comedk for non aided courses for category students it's very less. There are aided and non aided branches. Aided courses are cheaper than non aided courses. More facilities should be provide for the fees paid. Less facilities provided to engage students.

Fees and Financial Aid

No such things were provided as per my knowledge. I don't know much in this area as I never enquired about the same.

Campus Life

3

Campus life was simple. We had dress code. It wasn't like the colleges in Bangalore. Gender ratio was ok in my department but in other department, they were low. Student diversity was good. Students from different backgrounds studied in college. Extracurricular activities were less.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Not good. The quality of food is very bad. I had food in mess only in first year after that I was not able to consume any food causes of hygine and taste. Vendors should be changed and more cleanliness should be provided. I used to have food outside Hostel after first year.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors were quite helpful. They helped me a lot during tough time and were always there with me. I would say seniors were quite down to earth. Enjoyed a lot with seniors through parties.

Exam Structure

We had 2 internals and a external. It wasn't that hectic. Previously when it was not autonomous there were three internals and best of two would be considered but after being autonomous they lowered down to two internals, both compulsory. Externals are if 50 marks and internals of 25.

Faculty

3.5

Good, but there is always room for improvement. They are teachers with good experience but teachers who have joined fresh needs more training. Some training to relate study topics to real life scenarios would be great. More qualified teachers would make faculty team more strong.

Placement Experience:

Excellent placement training and reputed companies visit the campus. I had received offers from three companies which reflects the quality of opportunities available. Placement is one of the college's biggest strength. Student with no backlog and good academic records will get easily placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects like: we had 2 internal exams in the semester and after completing these internal exams roughly at the 5th month we had practical exam + end semester exams, these exams would be mainly theory based inclusing some conceptual based questions & based on our understanding only, we can able to write the answers. One thing, I would suggest was we shall give more weightage to the practical based learning, that too during our days we were just the beginning of AI & Iot era was effectively going on, if we had some advanced eductaion covering these aspects we would have got the opportunity to shine more in our carrers. As a student, we faced slight diffuclities and challenges matching the real-life happenings with the acdemics, that would be one of the shortcoming I can say.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the curriculum is well planned, balanced and easy to follow. We start with the basics and along with theory there's a good amount of coding practice, assignments, and hands on learning. I like that the course isn't just about passing exams, it also focuses on building skills that will be useful later for internships and placements. So far it feels relevant, practical and not overwhelming for someone who's just starting out.
