Remarks

So choosing Techno India University Kolkata had several reasons, for me I have always studied in Techno India Group schools and it was like a home and coming down to the graduation phase I wanted to go out of West Bengal but eventually decided that I don't want to pursue engineering and do management studies instead. If we look into a BBA program in colleges like symbiosis, Manipal for instance the course fee is ridiculously high and ROI is nearly negligible, most of 'em are going to pursue higher education anyway and Techno was in my home town where I could stay with my parents and do the bachelors. I believe I've made a reasonable decision.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

So I decided to pursue a bachelor's degree in business administration and wanted to make a career on the same. While looking into colleges in Kolkata and also keeping in mind the fee structure Techno India University was a good option with excellent professor support and most of them had PHD, we've extensive classes with specialization and you can stay back if you got a doubt in the tutorial after classes. We've exams according to the ugc policy and being an autonomous institution we had two major exams every semester. One is MTA and other is called Seasonal Semester. The difficulty was moderate and if you pay attention in classes you can ace every test.

Internships Opportunities

2

The internship opportunities were limited and only serious students enrolled themselves in any opportunity and the rest were not even bothered to even this summer internship was credit-based and would affect a person's overall GPA. Few companies like pc Chandra, Times of India, and other start-ups recruited students but the final conversion was very low.

Placement Experience

2

So class of 2022 was heavily affected by the placement situation as due to this ongoing pandemic. From semester 4 the students are eligible for campus placement as the internship season begins from the same and talking about companies that visited for internship was very less it was around 5 and that's ironic. I don't know about the final placement as I'm in the 4th sem and the percentage of students getting placed is quite low. my plan after getting the degree is flexible and subjective to the situation if the pandemic continues then I won't immediately go for MBA instead I will work for a year or more and get that work experience in my resume to convert to better colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

This is going to be a long read, talking about the fee structure there's a referral program where if you're previously associated with techno India group in your high school you get 15% discount on your course fee and also there's a specific scholarship for students who scored well in their +2 and this one is subjective to the admission cell. There's no such scholarship but if your records are exceptionally well you'll get big financial assistance from this institution. Job opportunities during my time are a mess and keeping the current scenario in mind (covid-19) the class of 2022 was severely affected. The creme students got internship opportunities in the 4th sem for their credit-based summer internship project and I was fortunate enough to bag two of those opportunities.

Campus Life

1.5

Talking about the class of 2022, our batch was affected by the covid 19 pandemics and there was only one physical semester, and the rest of everything went online so talking about campus life it's negligible even during physical classes as the school of management was basically a 12-floor building which was more like a corporate cubicle than a college. It's high time for Techno India Group to develop and invest in infrastructure rather than opening more branches and Colleges. There's a library and its well-equipped students can get books for every semester and return it once it's over, it's pretty neat. The classrooms were well equipped and had everything required starting from AC and smartboard.

Interview Experience

2

There was no such GD/PI during admission in my time, I don't know about the current admission procedure. I had a personal interview with an associate in the admission cell and after that my records were checked and then I got admission to the School of management.

Other Applied Colleges

KIIT, Bhubaneswar | BBA

The fee structure was very high and for graduation it was a wrong choice
