Remarks

Bad aspects: Transportation problem, Lack of food stalls Good aspects: Helpful professors and staff, Library is quite organized, Digital classes and seminars, friendly atmosphere, surrounded by open fields and ponds that's a plus point during summer days

Course Curriculum Overview

English honors from Burdwan University is the best among the other courses available, and also I love literature very much. There are two assistant professors for our course; Mizanur Rahman Sardar as our HoD and Manali Chaudhary ma'am. Both of them are very serious about teaching and very efficient and friendly too. Ask them for any help they gonna help you out for sure. Internal exams are hassle-free all the time, easy but informative questionnaire for all subjects, and those will help you to sort your University questions out.

THERE ARE NO CAMPUS PLACEMENT as you know, this is not a Engineering or MBA or Medical college; it's a Degree college, you have to study hard to get over 6 CGPA from Burdwan University, if you score a perfect 7.00 CGPA that will take you to your dream job with extra effort of course

Fees and Financial Aid

It'll cost you around Rs. 18,656 to complete BA in English from Polba Mahavidyalaya. University will take around 350 Rs. For Registration and exam purposes per semester. Hike in fees is quite rare in our university but If they're gonna be any, you'll be notified through email and also from your college

Campus Life

There is an annual sports day in our college which will be held in December or January month; the NSS unit of Polba Mahavidyalaya is quite famous and active. Student Union is helpful too but sometimes they are too good to be true.

I really liked geography as a subject for learning and exploring as it includes fieldwork , surveys and excursion which enhances our mind and experience in our life and this way we have many opportunities to learn new things in our life which is helpful for our future purposes. The only improvements I would like to note that to improve the toilet facilities and placement opportunities.

I love this college and for graduation, I join this college. about their faculty and student ratio is good. In every subject, there are two faculty in class. The good class environment in college. I love to read English and it's easy for me so that's why I choose it. There are a total of 50 students in this course. Our teachers are very helpful and talented and also support us. We have 2 semesters after 6 months in 1 year. Exams are comfortable for the students who study the subject. It is difficult for those who do not study.

To get admission, I had to first apply to the college by filling the application form present on the college website , once this was done, I had to submit the marks scored in grade 12th, after that the college would send us an email suggesting acceptance to the university.
