Remarks

I chose this college as it comes from the top private institutes of India for b.tech biotechnology. Also, the faculty is well-qualified and very understanding and friendly. And the university also provides a summit research programme under which students can start doing research work from the first year only but the university takes only 20 students in this programme. Admission is generally based on merit but due to an ongoing pandemic it was entrance-based last time and yes the exam was online and conducted by the university itself. The exam was followed by an interview for each student and also students interested in SRP are needed to give a seperate interview which is taken by the interview panel consisting of specialized teachers of each subject of the university. The whole admission process generally gets the start in April.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course as under this we get to do most of the lab work. The faculty is well-qualified, all of the professors having their PhDs from well reputed universities. Also, they stress on providing practical information rather than just theory work. Term exams are regularly conducted throughout the semester. It generally consists of two mid-terms and one end term at the last of the semester. Before end terms, vivas and practicals are also conducted. Overall the college is good.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Yes, the college provides internships for the students. Also doing one internship is compulsory for the completion of the degree. Internships provided, prepare the students for the corporate world and industrial area work.

Placement Experience

3.5

From last semester students become eligible for campus placements. Generally, most of the students get placements with highly reputed companies from campus placements themselves. Some of the companies that come on campus are Hindustan, nestle, Unilever, Bharat biotech, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees of the university can be easily afforded by most of the middle class families as it is already set low as compared to other engineering colleges. But still, the university provides different types of scholarships for different students. Some of them are- single parent scholarship, need cum merit based, merit cum need-based, Yogananda scholarship and many more. You can also check out the university's website for the same.

Campus Life

5

University organizes Moksh events and a departmental programme manually. Moksh is one of the most awaited programme in the university. Yogananda library of the university is well-known for it's beautiful architecture and books available. There is also Yuvraj Singh Stadium and badminton and basketball courts for playing sports on the campus. Many clubs and social activities also take place on the campus which are conducted by boyh faculty and students. Also, the student can start their own clubs if they want to. The location of the university is the best. The university is so beautiful that at first, you will think that you have come to a tourist place.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostels are well structured and newly made. They have the facility of the two-seater, three-seater and four-seater. Two-seater and four-seater have bunker beds and three-seaters have single beds. All the facilities are available in the room. Rooms are well ventilated attached to balconies. Each student gets his/ her own almirah and study tables. Meal quality is good and the menu is also made keeping all the needs of the students in mind.

Interview Experience

4.5

Yeah, we faced an interview for admission in b.tech biotechnology while students interested in SRP had to face one more interview in which they were told to present their ideas in the fields they are interested and only 20 students were selected for this programme.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at my college are average. A few reputed companies visit the campus each year, but the number of offers and salary packages varies depending on the branch and market conditions. Students who have strong academic performance, technical skills, internships, and good communication skills generally have better chances of getting placed.
