Remarks

I would say that coming to Narsee Monjee was the best decision i took last year. I have gained a lot from this institution for which i shall be forever indebted to them. Initially one might not notice any major changes in one's personality but when they meet someone after a gap, others can easily feel the change.

Entrance Preview

Took NMAT for the Pg course and scored 210/360 finally my rank allowed Bangalore and Hyderabad campuses took Bangalore because it had a better name than hyderabad.

It is a very good course curriculum being accredited by AMBA.

Internships Opportunities

Yes it provides internship with all the necessary details given in the summer placement report available on the college website.

Placement Experience

Since the very inception of this institution, 100% placement has been a norm with average placement last year at 9.8 lacs and highest being 14 lacs.

College Events

One can find events going on in the college almost all throughout the year with cultural fest Nit yaksh being the biggest. Last year it witnessed 5000 plus attendees and TVF as the star guests.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is at par with all the good B-Schools. A bit expensive but worth every penny paid total cost comes to 20.0 lakhs for two years.

Campus Life

Gender ratio is the best I have witnessed anywhere my life. At least 40% are girls. Then we have students from various backgrounds such as philosophy, engineering economics etc and from freshers to ones with 5 years of experience.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is very good with mess run by a famous food chain in Bangalore Shiv Sagar.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors were very helpful and we trying to be at least equally nice if not better to our juniors. Alumni network is not that strong since ours is a young branch but with every passing year, we are emerging stronger.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is very hectic for the first year students but chilled out for the second year.

Faculty

College boasts of an excellent faculty with most of the professors having corporate experience of over 30 years.

ISME: THIS IS ME !!

Course Curriculum Overview:

For jobs, it prepares you very well. You work through real case studies, Harvard business simulations, and a 4-to-6-month corporate internship, so you aren't completely clueless on day one at an office. If your goal is a PhD or pure research, though, it leans a bit too practical and corporate rather than deeply academic.

Life at ISME

Likes

I liked the faculty members as they are very approachable
Mentorship programs, international certifications
The diversity of students in our batch. Students came from all the parts of India.

Dislikes

College is very far from the main city and the airport as well.

Curriculum is very student friendly. We have guest lectures from various industry experts, subject matter experts etc. Our course is more practical based and industry focused. We also have regular exams for continuous monitoring.

Great Learning Experience

Likes

The batch size is small and competitive.
The International Immersion Program at Singapore
Industry Trajectory Program, which includes paid internship opportunities for 6 months months at top companies like Grant Thornton and ITC

Dislikes

The campus is far away from the main city
The 80% attendance in college is mandatory

Placement Experience:

We sit for final placements from our second year whereas other internship opportunities starts from the very beginning, like in our first year we had companies like EY and Deloitte for our Summer Internship Placement (SIP)

Likes

Facility is very qualified. Faculties from IIM are also there. They are very friendly. They gives us extra support and mentorship after class also
College infrastructure is also good. Full of greenery amd calm environment and location is aldo good.
Placement is also good. And ROI is also good as per the fees.

Dislikes

The schedule is very hectic. And hostel timing is also short for returning.

Placements are also there 240+ recruiters come for campus placements. Average package is 8 to 9 lakhs and highest package is 17 lakh. We have Industry trajectory programme with big 4 like Kpmg GT etc

Likes

We have good faculties, who are very friendly and approachable
Study matarial is also very helpful, we are getting enough information and learnings we want
Corporate exposure of this college is amazing...we are getting good internships related to our feild

Placement Experience:

240 recruiters come to this college....we have industry trajectory program, placement oriented term, mock interviews, workshops. We have average package of 8pla and highest package is 17 lpa. We have career opportunities cell which prepare you for summer internships and final placement. In ITP students get stipend between 25 to 40k.

I chose NMIMS Bangalore over KJ Somaiya from where i got an offer as well because NMIMS is a brand name, the batch size compared to KJ Somaiya is one third and the average placement is higher as well. One other reason would be the high cost of living in Mumbai. I applied to KJ Somaiya and TAPMI as well. Rejected KJ Somaiya and didn’t get shortlisted for TAPMI. I got rejected from TAPM, their shortlisting criteria completely changed and I couldn’t do anything to change it. The admission process for NMIMS Bangalore is basically by clearing the NMAT exam, I scored around 230 and the cut off for it was i think around 224. NMIMS only take NMAT for consideration. The overall admission process is smooth only. Once you get the offer letter you just have to upload your documents and they will upload them in sometime...Read More

Students have to appear for NMAT which is specially organized by NMIMS University and different campuses have different cutoffs for NMAT.
