JIS- Review

I chose JIS College Of Engineering because it was one of the best institutes in Kolkata, its academics are very strong and it has a lot of good teachers. The good aspects are the big campus, good teachers, connectivity and obviously courses. I am from the Management department and I can assure you that it has one the best teachers in the whole college. Talking about placements well the placement has limited the students who have consistently good academics may be above 7, and no backlogs are the most preferred for placements so it might a bad aspect that if you have a backlog it can hamper your job chances. The most important reason for choosing this college over others is its teaching pattern, mentorship, and industrial visits thus creating a network and knowing more about managing things, which eventually helps you in upgrading your management skills.

The faculty members were really helpful and supportive, they guide and teach you a thousand times without complaining and sometimes they refer you for jobs, which is really helpful. As they have a direct connection with HR. The students are around 45 maximum. The qualification of the teachers of management are very high most of them have doctorate degrees and along with degree, they have excellent teaching quality. The exams are moderate if you study well enough you will pass with good grades.

The placement is limited I would say, only students with good grades get that which is above 7 in each semester but your skills also matter, if you are really talented and have skills you may get placements and companies come from 5th semester, so if you crack it you can directly join job, your attendance will be counted as present in college.

There is no fees hike policy and that's the best thing your fees will remain constant throughout the course. There are various jobs like campus originator, accounts, and others. But there is no scholarship available for the students unfortunately but loan assistance is available .So if somebody wants can avail that.

The campus life is good the lush green campus along with various other social activities and makes you love college life. The library is good and books are available but they are limited in number so eventually, you have to make notes of that, but one thong, if you follow the teachers, note you can easily pass exams. JIS Tech is held for every department and every department can apply please do attend it.

The GD and PI were conducted on various aspects of business and management and I assure you you can pass that. There is also a written examination which is conducted by the college and that is difficult for the students coming from Science and Arts but Commerce guys can easily crack that, but if ant student wants to Change stream and want to take management as a career study, a preparation of month can easily make you pass that.
