Remarks

Best college in kottayam. The teacher here are good. they are very friendly to students. Their are many activities to improve our knowledge. College have big College ground. Here students play cricket, football, basketball etc. College has their teams. There are more than 5 hostel. At one more than 1500 students can use hostel. Overall best College.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this College because my seniors suggest me. Overall good College teachers use best methods for teaching. Also their is 50 computer big lab. At one time student in one class can easily use the lab. The College have big library to improve student knowledge.

Placement Experience

From 5th semester companies comes placement. Their are many colleges like Infosys, TCS, wipro, cognizant, delloite, sap etc TCS, wipro, Infosys offer 15000 above at starting. Cognizant offers 18000 above. Sap offers 20000 above. Deloitte offers 22000 above.

Fee Structure And Facilities

20000 rs is the fees for one semester. their are many scholarships in our college. If you get 60% above in 12th you are eligible to apply for post matrix scholarships. And there are many other scholarships also. There are many companies comes to our college to recruite students. Sap, Infosys, wipro, TCS etc.

Campus Life

It's very good, due to Corona pandemic we miss our college life. Their are many fests conducted by students every students can participate in fest. In this college their is no political party's so campus is very silent.

Admission

Yes, we have a small campus entrance to get admission in sb college. The questions are about our chosen subject its simple they gave a booklet including all the questions and some general knowledge. Them we must see principal to interview.

Experiences so far

Likes

My experience at lissah has been mixing of challenges. Psychology depart has supportive teachers and classes is good
Campus is peaceful and it’s so greenery there are opportunities to take part in different academics
I also like that the psychology department has its own lab and practical exposure and Lissah is well known for psychology itself

Dislikes

I feel that there could be more programmes activities and opportunities for students to make college life
Location could feel like quiet and it’s not in town area
Those who prefer more active atmosphere I would not recommend here

I chose bsc psychology because I was interested in understanding human behaviour. The curriculum covers different areas of psychology along with subjects such as major psychology minor statistics and physiology then English mdc . Since I am still in my first year I have only experienced the initial part of course

Faculties are good. Most them are very friendly
Class rooms and canteen are also good. Not the best
Fees are very low comparing to other collages

Dislikes

Not giving good placements. Only 1 or 2 good companies good. Others are average
I'm not interested hostel. But my friends in hostel always saying that the food is not good.
Some faculties are not treat all the students equal. Not every only some

Placement Experience:

Placement are not the best. But EY , federal bank, TCS are some the prominent companies that are coming. The negative thing about placement is most of them are offering marking jobs. So if you are someone who is interested in operations this is not the collage you want to in.

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Likes

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

My dear college

Likes

I liked the atmosphere the college offers and the facilities for studying
The sports facilities are pretty good considering the supplements they have
The library got my attention since it has alot of books and its the centre of attraction of the college

Dislikes

The college doesn't provide any placements and job opportunities
The college doesn't provide any pool options for swimming lessons
Teachers get changed every now and then this makes the continuity of the lessons very hard

Course Curriculum Overview:

The social service got my eyes on this course. The intention of creating the mentality of helping others by social service made me join the course. This course provides a great service towards the betterment of future and people in it.

After 6 th semester students become eligible for placements . It's in the final years . Many companies have visited the college and made offers for the students like Wipro,Tenzo tech , infopark etc Around 70 Percent students get placement

St.Berchamns College: Where Education Meets Opportunity

I chose not to enroll in one of the college near to the are that is Saintgits college due to its higher fees. Additionally, the facilities in the college as noted in variouse google review semmed less impressive.
