ADGIPS, B.Tech, Electrical And Electronics Engineering

Remarks

Before taking admission to this college, I have applied for a few before but I didn't like the infrastructure of some colleges while other's admission criteria were a little high. The minimum marks required is 60% aggregate in PCM and the minimum age required is 17 years for admission. The admission process was easy and lengthy. First, we have to freeze the seat online and then verify documents at college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this course as I was interested in Electrical and Electronic engineering. There are a maximum of 180 students and around 32 faculties in this department. The teachers are really very good and their teaching method is also impressive. Most of the teachers have P.h.D in their course. Midterm exams are held within the gap of 45 days and the final term exam is held annually. Students need 40% to pass those exams.

Class Size: 42Course Fees: INR 101500 per year

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Companies like Infosys and TCS provides internship. Students also apply online to different companies. Software Development, Data Analyst, Data Scientist, etc are some of the internship students can do. They get the minimum stipend of around 3 to 4k per month. Students can do projects on any topic based on engineering.

Placement Experience

4.5

From the starting of the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Companies like Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Byju's, Samsung R&D, Accenture, Amazon, Airtel, Paytm, etc visit the college for placements. They give quite satisfactory packages according to talent and the field. The highest package provided by companies are 19 lacs and the average package is 3.5 lacs. Around 70% of Students got the placements. I will pursue M.Tech.

Fees and Financial Aid

1 year fee is around 1.05 lacs and doesn't increase every year. Government scholarships are available for students who can't afford this many fees. Companies also come to our college on a regular basis to provide placements and internships to students. All the internships and jobs are paid. They provide quite a handsome salary and stipend.

Campus Life

4.5

The college organizes the annual fest 'Innoviz'. At the fest, celebrities also come and perform. Tech fest held 1 or 2 times in a year. The library is good and books for every course are available. Magazine and Newspapers are also published. Classrooms are spacious and ventilated. A classroom has 6 fans and desks are of fine wood and comfortable for students. Every type of sports is played in our college including inside, outside, and online game platforms. There are 4 tech societies and 6 other societies for music, dance, fashion, etc. These societies are run by students only. Students also run some Instagram pages related to college.

My experience studying at NSIT

Likes

Placement was among the best and most the top companies visited
Infrastructure was appreciable with no major shortage of laboratories
Senior-Junior interaction compensated the average faculty

Dislikes

Outdated curriculum negatively impacted the conceptual clarity
Too difficult to secure good grades due to strict marking
Mediocre support provided to student led initiative

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was evidently outdated and irrelevant to modern engineering challenges and could have severely disadvantaged students' learning outcomes. Although, interaction with seniors compensated this.

How Good B.Tech. from JAMIA MILLIA ISLAMIA is?

Likes

Here in Jamia the faculty is very experienced in their fields , they make you feel Engineering and not to just read books. there teaching methods are amog the top in the nation
the curriculum not just focus on your engineering but also focuses on your personality development.
the infrastructure itself gives you the feel of oldness and the reputation of the college.

Dislikes

one bad thing is its less availability of Hostel rooms .
there is a very strict rule of 75% attendance .

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

The Dream College Life

Likes

The campus is completely different from the whole city, it is more cleaner and is quiet peaceful with various different beautiful views at different points and is not too big so could easily walk through the campus.
Has really great architecture of the buildings and is surrounded by really intelligent people including some over the top profs and some really great minds from the country.
The night life is completely different and is one of the best part of staying in campus.

Dislikes

some of the hostels are quiet old and need renovation.

Placement Experience:

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.

A Detail Review from a student who has both Online and Offline Experience

My JEE rank was not enough to qualify for good colleges. I was left with colleges in GGSIPU in my courousal. I was getting into VIPS, AGDIPS, Mahraja agersen and surajmal. I chose ADGIPS because it was much closer to my home than the rest and I can save time in travelling. I usually reach home by 4 that gives me ample of time to study, gym and prepare for next day. For admission process, we have to apply on the portal that works on counselling session. Students can fill choices based on their interest in college or the branch they want to study. They will recieve collges based on ranking and have to confirm seat by giving the registration amount....Read More

Walking you through ADGIPS

I applied to IPU counselling through JEE mains. I didn't have many options but I was getting HMR university, Echleon institute of technology, Guru teg Bahadur 4th centenary college, etc. I chose this college because among other IP colleges it has a better placement ratio and good environment and crowd. I wanted colleges like Maharaja agrasen institute of technology, maharaja surajmal institute of technology, bhartiya vidhyapeeth which comes on top of IPU rank list but due to my JEE rank was not able to get it but I'm still content with what I have. To get into my college u need to have a JEE rank around 4L for Tech branches and 6-7 L for other branches like Ece, Me etc. Admission experience was fine IPU delays the process alot but it was still manageable so overall fine...Read More
