Remarks

I applied to other five more colleges in the chemistry department but when I got a chance in the microbiology subject in this college, then I have not gone to those colleges. I have not any quota for admission. The minimum criteria were 12th pass and the age limit does not mention there. Minimum marks depend on the admission rate of students and also their marks gradually. At first online form, fillup did. Then after some days, 1st admission list released on the college website. Then within a specific date, the admission fee of 16945 rupees should be paid. After that the 2nd and 3rd list gradually released and the process was the same. Then the college provides a date, on which we have to go to the college to verify our admission and documents, otherwise, the admission will be canceled. On that day gathered in a hall room and checked everyone's document very carefully and stamped. Then the admission completed and the whole process passes through very smoothly and I happy with it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose the course because on behalf of this course I can get many scopes in medicine, vaccine and other medical ways and medicine companies and can find a job in different ways and also can join food industry like any packet food, alcohol industry, bear industry, and many other areas. And the faculty: students ratio is almost 1:8 In the faculty, there are 5 teachers and they are very good in teaching and they are very helpful also and guide us every time about our future in this field. The qualification of the faculty is Ph.D. in our subject and they have many other experiences in various field like industry and other academic levels. Exam held semester-wise every six months and passing the exam depends on student to student. But I must say if a student gets interested in this subject then he/she will definitely pass the exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are semester-wise fees structure approx 7000 to 9000 in every semester, which is decent to this study regarding all those instruments and lab technology. There are so many chances to get a scholarship. Any state or central scholarship you can get regarding this college. And you can get also some amount of fees depending on your family's economy on behalf of a special application to your principal. Sadly there is no campus job or interview opportunities.

Campus Life

3

There held an annual fest on the college campus in the February month and in this event the whole college and all the departments enjoy together. Many bands and singers and many other performers come to the college and the function continues full day and evening also. And there also conduct a department fest in every department with the respected teachers and that is also enjoyable. There are so many books available in the library regarding every subject and department and there are also entertainment books for passing time like storybooks and many other interesting books. There also present recent journals for students' general current knowledge and that is very helpful. The library is air conditioning. Classroom amenities are so good. There is proper black or green board, chair table bench properly, and also projector installation system for the audiovisual class. There have a playground for sports and other activities for college students. But there is no social group, clubs run by students.

Other Applied Colleges

I want to study microbiology when I got chance to my current college.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
