Remarks

The admission process was really smooth. On the day of my admission, I was asked to bring all my KYC documents for verification and my class 10 and 12 mark sheets. There were many criteria for admission like SC. ST etc. Since I was from a general background. I did not have to face any other procedures relating to that field. I took admission in B.Sc Media Science & Journalism and our university was maintaining a minimum of 45% score to opt for this course. I obtained 75% in my boards and got admitted. On the first day, while at admission forces were going, I was given a full course, fee structure, core subjects, placement criteria. Overall I was very much satisfied with the admission procedure of my university.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I choose this course because I wanted to do something interesting. This course has the potential to improve my communication and also allowed me to learn a lot. The faculty members are really friendly. In case of any subject related problem, they are easily accessible. All the faculty members are from a very reputed background and their teaching procedures are really easy to understand for any newcomers like me. Term exams are held at a gap of 6 months each which also includes a class test of 2 months gap. Our course consists of an overall 6 semesters.

Internships Opportunities

5

Companies like PWC, Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, BYJU'S are partnered with our university regarding placement for students with a minimum stipend of 10,000 rupees. Students also get to experience the corporate market and can also get a chance to utilize their existing skills while working on live projects for the organization.

Placement Experience

5

We get a chance to do internships from the 5th semester onwards and after graduation, we are also offered proper placements in any reputable organization too. Since I am in the 2nd semester so I did not get ant placement from campus yet. Around 93% of pass-out students get to place each year after completing their graduation from our university. Science I am still a fresher so after completing my graduation, I will be taking a placement offered by my university to me and will gain experience in my field so that it becomes easy for me to get a good job in future. Also, I would like online courses at distance in order to increase my degree as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure here is quite affordable. In a 3 years course time, the fee that I have to pay is around 2.8 lakhs which according to me is very much affordable. The fees structure includes tution fees, examination fees, library fees too. In case of any student who wants to study by taking a loan, our university provides education loan assistance too. Also if any student gets above 60% in their board's result, That is in 10th and 12th then they are eligible to get a scholarship facility too. We get a chance to do an internship from the 5th semester onwards and after graduation, we are also offered proper placements in any reputable organizations too. Since I'm in the 2nd semester so I did not get any placement from campus yet.

Campus Life

5

Since I am a newcomer, I do not know much about my campus fest name and the month they are held. All I know is that is held. All I know is that we have sports and extracurricular activities every year during winter. Our campus has 3 libraries.

Interview Experience

5

Science I took an admission during the pandemic situation, I did not face any Group Discussion, Interview, or Written Test for admission. At the time of my admission, I was just given a proper briefing regarding the university and what courses they offer. They also gave me a proper briefing regarding the course fee structure, placement criteria. Everything was done telephonic and the process was quite short.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Completely relevant. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus. Which matches with the net gate jam exam syllabus. When someone came our college for seminar they strange that we know this much. Exam are quite difficult in 2 months interval.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
