Remarks

I applied to all government engineering colleges and government controlled engineering colleges in Kerala. In government controlled colleges, I gave first preference to the College of Engineering, Munnar. My KEAM rank was 31247. I didn't get allotments to any other government colleges because my rank was low. I got merit allotment in my college through the caste(OBC) quota. If our rank is less than 33000 in KEAM, you can definitely get merit allotment in the College of Engineering, Munnar. But one thing to remember is that there is only a small number of student intake. Age is not a problem. The admission process was super easy. Just went to college with an allotment slip and the required paperwork which is informed by CEE Kerala and remitted the fees. Tuition fee is 35000 per annum for merit seat and total including extras like association fee, art fee etc it became 55000 for the first year only.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because of my mother's pressure and interest in computers and technology. There is less number of students i.e less than 80 and we've got at least 1 faculty for every subject. Every faculty are highly qualified with masters and most of them are PhD holders and pursuing it. S1 exams are not even conducted due to the Covid situation. The college conducts series of examinations and it is easy to pass. It is conducted after half of each semester.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Internshala is the main internship partner. The main project we do is marketing and it is fun. If we get joinings from our unique link, then we can get an attractive stipend. And there are many other companies too.

Placement Experience

4.5

From the 7th sem, students are eligible for placement, I think. Tech Mahindra, Infosys etc are some of the main companies coming for campus interviews. Most of the students get placed in the college. I plan to do my post graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

35000 per annum is the tuition fee. For first year including other fees, it becomes 55000. Due to the covid situation, there are no campus jobs, but they provide online internship opportunities. Scholarships are available for those students belonging to minorities and for some eligible students whose annual income is less.

Campus Life

5

Kaizen and Illiad is the Annual tech fest and arts fest conducted annually respectively. It is conducted in February. We got a huge library with science books and journals' dominance and books of different genres. The class and campus are very beautiful. The college will get covered in fog in the winter season and it a kind of magical site. College is so good for sports and extracurricular activities. NSS, Placement cell etc are some of the groups functioning in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
