Remarks

When I joined this college at the admission procedure was going through on the basis of JCECE exam but since from 2019 admission procedure is going on the basis of JEE Mains exam. For getting BIT Sindri Minimum Marks in JCECE is 80. After that we have faced counseling and then the document varification at the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty of our branch are well qualified, highly experienced and knowledgeable. The quality of their teachings is outstanding. The Course curriculum is very relevant to our branch for the industrial needs. Practical knowledge is also given by the faculty. Semester exams are neither easy nor difficult. (If someone have good basic knowledge about the subject papers they can easily get good marks in the semester). Semester exams are conducted for the duration of 6 months.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Internships Opportunities

A very few Internship opportunities are given by the college. Tata Steel provides internships and offered a role as a project trainee. BIT International Association Internship opportunity is also given by the alumni.

Placement Experience

The placement of my college is improving day by day. Every year nearly 30-35% students have been placed.Many companies are visited such as Aditya Birla group, Tata Steel, Tcs Ninja,Tcs Digital, L&T, Tata Power, Transrail, Delotite, Byju, Vedanta,etc. Highest package is 11 lakhs and average package is nearly 6 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

We have to pay academic fees in very less amount i.e nearly about 20,000 per year. Here the scholarship opportunities are also for financially weak students as well as meritorious students. Campus placement is improving day by day.

Campus Life

Annual fest (Bitutsav) as well as various events like technical, social, cultural, etc has been organised by the various clubs. Name of the clubs/ Societies/NGOs such as Rotaract Club, Artd Club, Sports Club, Literary Society, Model Club, Prayaas India, NSS,etc. Sports facilities, as well as library facilities, are also given to the students.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility and Mess facility are quite good. In the hostel room one bed, one study table, chair, the fan is given to the students. Mess food is very hygienic, serve in different varieties every day. Hostel charges are 5000/- per annum in addition to the Electricity charge is 2000/- per annum. Mess fees are 3000 per month.

Campus location is good but there is shortage of shops.
Professor are good and supportive and you can keep bike sk questions whenever you needed.

Mess food is not so good and if you taking hostel it is compulsory to take mess
Transpotation facility is not so good and you

From third semester students are allowed for internship and about the placement is about 5 to 6 lpa .Many students here are preparing for government exam like gate ,ies isro ,barc etc. And if you are not satisfied by placement from campus you can try off campus.

At the starting phase of college , we have a beautiful campus (which is not ours actually , its on rent ) loacted at Namkum, Ranchi. known as JUT campus, but after that things are not good.
Some what I liked the sports culture, but we don't have any sports Club yet.

Dislikes

Placements(actually there are students who are the coordinators for the placement group , there is no any particular advisor or any TPO head is there earlier...now there is one TPO coordinator but things are becoming worst there.
No grounds for any sports, we don't have badminton court indoors, so we have to wait for wind to settle before we can play outside.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually my branch is Electronics and communication engineering but my major interest lies in development area , i have gained all the skills in my college by my own taking some guidance from the seniors as they are very helpful and supporting. Improvements in course curriculum could be like they have to basically add one more course or any training program to help students for making skills and teaching them for their placements.(apart of the course , i am saying not because i am from ECE department , its common from any branch student)

I like their rules and regulation of college.
I like the annual sports, event, and cultural program.
Regular classes, labs, and time to time internal exams

Dislikes

Thing that I don't like is hostal cleaning, mesh food.
I think there is more rules and regulation for senior boys hostels.
From senior boys hostel they pass some comment to the girls

The curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course is the proper mindset from the class I chose to study btech. The areas for improvement in the course curriculum are more labs to be conducted proper smart classes to be held.

the return to investment in this college is very fair.
the infrastructure in this college is very good and still developing rapidly .
the fee is very affordable and the surrounding market is also cheap.

Dislikes

the reservation is very high and sc & st community gets so much advantage .
the college is located at outskirts of main city Dhanbad .
there is some sort of ragging culture which is also present here. Talking about the girls to boys ratio it is 25 to 75.

Placement Experience:

The placement stats of BIT Sindri is quite impressive because the core branch placement is too good . it offers around 90% placement to branch like mechanial , electrical , mining , metal. technical branch placement is also improving yearly.

yes campus placement is offered . the average package is about 7 to 8 lakhs in C.S.E , the placement rate is about 90% for which above 7.5 CGPA is required . The placement rate for E.C.E and E.E.E are also decent .

college have great environment good facilities needed as per requirements ,college also have good spacious hostels and we can say better food comparing to what i heard from friends of different colleges ,the evening time is soothing and relaxing
a great senior junior interaction culture and memorable friendships letting you forget the world outside the campus, every festivals are celebrated with joy and fun ,from leaving a family to moving to another one you would love.
some of lectures are quite boring but some will amaze you with visionary thoughts ,every faculty will guide you if they see you lagging behind the course ,some extra sessions are also conducted, introducing new fields to think out of the box

Dislikes

things which i wish might get some improvements are sports facilities big grounds for sports activities students encouragement towards co-curricular activitiy, co-curricular activities get more support to come out with glorious and imagining skills.
fests do contain fun but due to time constraints before fests planning of amazing activities becomes difficult thus leading same things going on repeating, absence of good team leaders leading activities plays major role in activity failure and bored
night out time is a small problem, the area close to college is developing hence not having nearby much places for fun and chillouts spending your free time relaxing.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the college is average as during 2023-24 it was recession period all over the colleges are facing placements lags but still college students managed to achieve 22 lakhs+ off campus as well as 16 lakhs on campus placement.The college reached his highest placement of 51 lakh during 2023 ,the average package is 5-6 lakh and the placements percentage are 85 percent for cse students,the students completing 7th semester are eligible for on campus placement drive as well as off campus,some of the prominent companies visited are Microsoft, cognizant, samsung, byjus,infosys and 50 more.I will prepare for gate and after that i will try to get on and off campus placements which i will find better accept the offer.

I could have gotten admitted in NIFFT Ranchi and by the 2k24 cut offs I could have gotten BIT mesra Chemical alonwith a plethora of colleges on AKTU or MPDTE counclling.I also qualifies CUET with a decent rank enough to secure a college in the DU south campus. The primary reason I chose this college was the Return on investment.Even withot any fees waiver the entire fee here is close to 4 lakhs for a span of 4 years which is very low compared to the average package of the college.Als the branch Mechanical has a decent scope in the GATE exams.
