Remarks

The admission process included submission of class 12 mark sheets as well as class 10 marksheet, some general paperwork, and submission of proofs along with buying uniform. The guiding person was informed about the orientation class (counseling). Orientation comprised of basic introduction, milestones achieved by the college, its norms, what are we expected to do, college timings, do's and don'ts.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose BMS as I had plans of doing an MBA further and to me it is one of the exposing courses. Faculty and student ratio was pretty much aligned. Each faculty member was obviously a post graduate with different methods yet students friendly. Maris Stella was pretty disciplined about exams when I was a student. Exams were conducted with all the norms and the staff made sure nobody performed misconduct. Exams were moderate enough to pass.

Internships Opportunities

0.5

We had an internship/project option. Majority goes with the project. Project comprised of fastidious research on a company. Touching it's crux from all sides including Marketing, managing, financing etc. After completion of the project which is a team work, we had a 5 minute viva taken by an external.

Placement Experience

2.5

Students were eligible to be a part of campus recruitment from the second year. The highest pay was 5lacs as the job specification was sales manager. 60 percent of students getting placements. My plan is to either do MBA or work in an accounting firm.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure was constant in those three years with additional expenditure on fetching copies and materials. I got interviewed for a English teaching job which hailed in some town in Tamil Nadu. I also applied for a job in a construction company in which I was qualified for round two. Being the company in other state, I was not allowed to take it to next level.

Campus Life

4

The best and most cherished part of the BMS course was to attend fests (National and State level) as well as hosting a fest. Fests were the most informative part of my course. It gave me exposure and honed my skills, boosted confidence, and educated me about teamwork. When it comes to a library, our library is wonderful. All study-related copies, as well as different genres, were available with easy access and the support of the librarian. We had a mandatory extracurricular activity in which every student should take part. I enrolled myself I'm sporting. Students ran different groups depending upon their interests like social groups, current affairs groups, etc.

Remarks:

Most people have to sit down and decide whether college is worthwhile for them. Attending college can have many positive and negative effects. A few negative effects are debt, partying, missing family and friends, and stress. Positive effects are he/she gets a degree, makes new friends, becomes more diverse, most likely gets a good job after graduating, and helps he/she to become more independent and grow as an individual.
