Remarks
On and on KIET was one of the leading college of UPTU. There was a downfall in placement in our batch. But still they made it sure that the students got placed. Many placement processes were even conducted after the batch was completed.
Entrance Preview
I got selected through UPTU exam and my rank under general category was 7508. Its one of the best college under UPTU with the best placements and faculty.
Course Curriculum Overview
The branch was AICTE approved. With the best labs and the best faculty. The IT course was good and most of the companies came for CS and IT batch as compared to the other batches.
Internships Opportunities
No internship process was there in our batch. However, after our batch the internship process was introduced and the students get upto 20000 rs stipend per month.
Placement Experience
The placement process was quite good. We even got the opportunity to go for the pool campus drive conducted by Microsoft. Although none of us got selected Some other good companies like Impetus, Thoughtworks, MIND, TCS and many more.
College Events
College celebrates Tech Fest, Cultural Fest, Alumni Meet, Diwali Party, EPOQUE.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is a bit expensive. But now a days its the same for most of the college. However when I compared the fee structure with the other college it was lee in KIET.
Fees and Financial Aid
The scholarship are given to the branch topper. Also they have one interesting scholarship program in which in the odd semester if you get above 70%. Then per percent a certain amount is given to the student.
Campus Life
KIET was best for its campus life. You are never forced to attend any lecture. But still to give the internal exam you have to maintain an attendance of 75%. The gender ratio was almost equal and all the extracurricular activities were given importance. The best part was the fest time. Lots of extracurricular activities are conducted during that time and not to forget the rocking guests like Mika Singh, Kanika Kapur, Palash Kher.
Hostel Facilities
I was a day scholar so I am not aware of the hostel facility and mess food. But on and on what I have heard from my friends it was average not that bad and not that awesome :P
Alumni/Alumna
Didn't had much interaction with the alumni network.
Exam Structure
It was not that hectic. The internal exams were not that tough. We used to have 3 internal the best of 2 were selected. So you have a choice to skip the third exam if you get good marks in the first 2 exams.
Admission
I got selected through the UPTU exam. After the exam the counselling was conducted in which you have to add to your choices. We get our result next day after the counselling that which college is allotted to the individual. Then we have to submit the DD the same day to confirm our seat.
Faculty
The college faculty was highly qualified most of them have done PhD in there respective domains. They were very cooperative and intellectual. The teaching process was quite nice.
