Remarks

I have applied for Rajalakshmi Engineering College and Panimalar Engineering College. The reason for not choosing Rajalakshmi Engineering college is that the college is too long from home. I have availed through the Management quota in Panimalar Engineering College. The admission criteria are in person. I have gone to the college and got all of my details verified. The minimum mark to be obtained is 60 % and the minimum age requirement is 17.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have chosen BE Mechanical Engineering because I am very much interested in designing and producing machines. The student ratio is about 63. There are many faculties in the college based on the required fields. The faculties are always available in the college. The pro0ffesors are well qualified with the highest degree like PhD. The teaching method is practically oriented and the professors teach in an informative manner. There are three internal exams and two model exams. The exams will be quite difficult as they want us to showcase our talents. The time gap between the exams will be approximately 1 month.

Internships Opportunities

The companies like the tata group, Seimens, Mahendra offers many internship programs with a stipend. The projects depend on the companies. In some companies, interns work on designing machines and some interns work on manufacturing machines in some other companies.

Placement Experience

From the 6th sem itself, students are eligible for the campus placements . The name of the companies that comes for placement inside the campus are Larsen and Turbo, Godrej group, General motors and siemen etc.. The highest package is about 14 lpa and the average package is about 3lpa. The percentage of students getting placed on an average is 91 % in the Mechanical engineering Stream. My plan is to get placed in a reputed organization.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure usually differs for the management quota students and the government quota students. For the management quota students, the fees are about 1,40,00 and for the government quota students, the fees are about 1,25,000. The college provides many scholarship opportunities. Especially for the government quota students, many scholarships are available in the college based on their marks.

Campus Life

Generally, fests occur rarely in the college. The college day occurs once a year in May. There are all kinds of journals and books available in the library. The classroom will be clean all the time. Students seating table is very much comfortable. There are no sports activities available in the college for the Government quota and the management quota students. Only the sports quota students are allowed to play inside the college campus. There are social media pages on Instagram carried forward by the students to update the progress of the college.

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

The specific aspect which is great future on IT Field of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course. The curriculum prepared me to solve tough real-world logical aptitude test and coding test. The course curriculum is only based on the theory in several areas.My suggestion is to improve that too in practical manner for better real-world understanding. The frequency and the timing of my exams along with my perspective on the difficulty level is 2hrs.

Panimalar : A paradise For The Learners

My cutoff for engineering was too low to join this college but the only thing that was a favour to me is my community. I come under a reserved community, and my friends who are from other communities with higher cutoff than me couldn't make it to Panimalar. My admission to this college was through Government Counselling by choice filling. Before my choice filling, I've heard a lot about Panimalar through Social Media and I've got fascinated by their placement percentage, food quality, transport quality, etc... So, I placed panimalar at the top of the choice list and It's the only college I chose from Chennai. I've made choices majorly from Trichy like K Ramakrishna Engineering College, Saaranathan Engineering College, MAM Engineering College and other colleges around Perambalur, Salem. I was so happy when I got an admission in Panimalar. They invited me directly to the college for the admission process. Me with my dad went for the admission.
