Remarks

Location was Gurgaon(more convenient for north Indians)MDI Gurgaon is ranked among top 10 & it was the best call I had. My inclination towards HR was already there and MDI HR course is highly valued.Also because of good Academic rigour, excellent faculties and better placements.Downsides:No IIM TagROI is not that high.Avg CTC is significantly lower than shown.

I had work experience as an HR consultant. HR placements are good. Some very renowned faculties are there in L&D, Compensation & OB areas. Term exams were not that difficult to pass. Overall survival in MDI is tough in the beginning but you sail through once time passes.

Internships Opportunities

Yes. There are plenty of Internship opportunities from the campus. We also get to work extensively on paid live Industry engagement is excellent. Avg stipend in SIP are 1.2 lacs per month.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for final placements after 4th term. There ae plenty of opportunities from the campus. All major FMCGs, Consulting companies come first. Avg CTC is around 20 lpa. No of offers made is around 350-355.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is on a higher side. Total 1986000. Not much scholarship opportunities. 80% of the batch go for loans. Since placements are good & interest rates are significantly lower so repayment is not an issue.I got a total stipend of 1.5 lacs in SIP.

Campus Life

No been to campus yet :( But virtual life is a bit tiring. Limited social interactions are there. Annual fest is conducted by Imperium. Other CnCs also conduct their events throughout the year. Once doesn't get much free time in the first year. Books and publications are easily available virtually as well. There are student run academic clubs such as HRDirection, Marquity, Montetrix, Opressions and many more.

Hostel Facilities

Have not been to hostel yet. Hostels are two seaters with proper amenities provided. Campus life is awesome. Canteens and food points are in plenty. Mess food is not upto the mark. Mostly students rely on Sharmaji and Jhaji's canteens

One of the best universities for MBA

Placement Experience:

Placements is good. Higher placements come for Engineering students but MBA and BBA students also get avg placement of 8-9 LPA. Many of my seniors from last year got good placements at top companies like Hyundai, Maruti,Amkette, Flipkart, Adaan.

The reason I choose bds was more practical learning and more over my interest in this. The teachers teaches us according the curriculum helping us in exams. The frequency of exam is around six months or annually. It depends on the college management system, and how they set the exam and when.

I chose MDI Gurgaon over XLRI Delhi, IIM Shillong, new and baby IIMS, NITIE - PGDSM. The reason for choosing MDI was its proximity to my hometown, Tier 1 status. I was rejected from IIM ABCLKI and FMS - Delhi mostly on the basis of my undergrad scores and a CAT percentile which was not high enough. Internship in ABG !!

You need to appear in the CAT exam. Any percentile over 90%ile with a sectional of 70 70 70 cleared will fetch you a call from MDI Gurgaon. However, to convert core, 96+ is a safe score for non-engg and 98.5+ for GEM. After you get a shortlist, you'll have to appear and fill out a form which MDI-G will send and you can edit your details there. Further, you'll get a PI date.
