Remarks

I applied to the university for the multimedia course in 2017 batch. Then the admission criteria was you have to get a minimum 55% in both 10th and 12th board exams. If you get more than 60% then you will be eligible for a scholarship so that your course fees will decrease by some amount. I got a scholarship so my course feed got reduced. And the admission process was very smooth, on the counseling day we got our college uniform, bags and many other thing from the college. It was a good experience.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I always wanted to learn designs so I chose this Multimedia & Web development course. Our teacher were really helpful, they are always ready to help if you need their help. They always make us understand a topic practically so that we can understand well. Our teachers was very friendly with us, we shared a very good bonding with our teachers. Our course was divided by 6 semesters and after each semester there was a final exam to pass the semester. If you always attend the classes then you can pass the exams with good marks. Attending the class is very important.

Placement Experience

4

Form 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Many big MNC Companies like CTS, PWC ect visited our college for campus interviews. Packages offered by the companies are at industry standard for freshers. In our year approx 95% student got placement in various companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our course fees was divided by 6 semester, each semester you have to pay the fees. And before every semester final exam you have to pay the exam fees. There were scholarship offers for the students, if you have 60%+ marks in both 10th and 12th board exams then you will get a scholarship. I got a scholarship, and because of that my course fees reduced and I didn't have to pay the last semester fees.

Campus Life

5

Our college has a very cultural side also, every year we celebrate the annual fest and annual sports. There is also the fresher's welcome program held by our college and senior students give welcome to the fresher batches. Our library has a huge collection of books. Our classrooms are big enough for approx 60 students per class, and also the classrooms are windy. Our lab rooms are very well designed with the latest technology computers and software. We always enjoyed our campus life.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
