Remarks

The college admission process went over smoothly without any entrance exam. Eligibility of the course is that one should have scored 75% in their 12th standard board exams. Admission process is good since they maintained our contacts and gave us enough time to make decision.

Course Curriculum Overview

I personally chose this course due to my interest in law. The faculty members are teaching us concepts in an easy way and so concepts are easily understandable. The student: teacher ratio is 60:1. The teachers have completed their master's and Ph.D. degreess. Weekly tests are conducted which helps us to score good marks in our semester exams.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 144000 per year

Placement Experience

I'm still studying in 2nd year through online mode I haven't got any information about the placements and jobs offered in detail. But as of I heard from my seniors they told that nearly 90% of the students will be getting placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure for my course is 1 Lakh 44 Thousand per year. In our first year, students are made to write a scholarship exam. Based on their marks they can get 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% VSAT scholarship. The questions are general and not focused on a single subject. The name of the scholarship is VSAT- Vels Scholarship Admission Test.

Campus Life

Due to the pandemic, I am still attending my college class online mode and so I have no idea of the annual fest and student clubs. Our library has 1500+ books which are really helpful for students. The classroom amenities are so good. We have sports activities like Volleyball, Throwball, etc.,

My college experience

Likes

The college atmosphere is very friendly.
The quality of education is very high. The students are given very wide opportunities like participation in moot court competitions
The staffs are very approachable and will help you with any doubts

Dislikes

The college timing is from 8:45 to 5:15 which makes you feel tired
There’s no celebration for any festival which might sometimes be boring
There is no holiday for any festival other than Hindu festivals

Placement Experience:

College provides placement for students from the 9th sem. The eligibility criteria for placement varies from company to company. The general rule is that the students must not have any standing arrears. Various law based companies have been involved in this placement process. The highest package as of now is 4.5lpa

Our course is one of the best professional one ..it has high value if we work hard our college sent us to courtd to know about the realistic situation I love this course frome young my ambition is to get seat in this college .so High got high marks and I got selected..this course helps to save the society w.. without lawyers there is no social peace I think so ..i hope we I'll change this situation

My college

Likes

I liked the faculties in this college bcoz they are too friendly to the students and they are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The sceanary of inside the college will be greenary which will give peacefulness to the mind .
I like the way the boys and girls are treated equally in the college.The boys and girls will get the equal opportunity in the every perspective of college events.
The library facilities is too good in the college. Availability of digital library is the thing I liked in our more.

Dislikes

I not liked the hostel facility in the college bcoz the hostel is available only for the persons who are coming from long distance.
I not liked the canteen infrastructure bcoz there is not much foods are available in the canteen and cost is high
Hostel food is not nice . Daily sambar is there in menu

Placement Experience:

Placement is avaialable in the college but amount of the students being placed is very low . Most of students are not interested in corporate jobs. After completion of this course , the person can be a advocate, judges , attempt for civil service exams , corporate lawyers etc

Likes

College hostel. The hostel is very useful for me. Because only yearly 8000 fees and very clean and hygiene.
Library section. All books relating to law are available at college library. Students can get easily what books they want about law.
College professor are friendly and they are well experienced about their subjects.

Dislikes

Sports is secondary and studies is primarily.. so sports are not important in this college.
There is no any function celebrate at college.
Students are strictly for uniforms at class rooms.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course BA LLB to become an Advocate. The faculty is very professionally trained and we'll practice advocates. They are very clearly explained about their subjects. Faculties must finish an ML degree. BA LLB semester twice a year. There are 2 semesters in a year. And the subject was fully law-oriented. Not difficult but also not easy to pass.

Law is my passion and aims because my only aim is to provide free legal and for all people who are struggling in their day-to-day life. In Our College, there are 100 faculties and 1000 students. Faculties qualification was ML, Ph.D., etc. And They are qualified by interview to test their knowledge. Their teaching method was awesome. it was very helpful to students to get legal knowledge. For each semester we have 6 months' time to study. Normally law papers were very tough But if we focus on class we can definitely get high scores on exams because this is a professional course we can get knowledge by practice method so they conduct moot court competitions etc to develop students' legal knowledge.

I chose this course with the ambition of becoming an civil servent and there are the ratio of faculty is 1:30 which makes it sufficient enough for a faculty to interact with the student with individual attention. TNLLU is terrific

Placement Experience:

In comparison to TOP 5-6 National Law Universities, the number of students getting placements in TNNLU is relatively low. But, in the last 2-3 years, the scenario of placement has changed a lot. Students are getting placed in reputed Tier-1 firms such as Trilegal, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Lakshmi Kumaran & Sridharan, etc. Alumni of the TNNLU are working as professors, judicial clerks, advocates of the Supreme Court as well as High Courts, and legal officers in banks and many students opt for higher education from Indian and foreign institutes. The university has a specific Internship and Placement Cell that works for providing a wide of opportunities to students. However, TNNLU has a long way to go in the field of placements.

Students of the final year are eligible for placements, and the amount of companies with the intent to employ students for the University is quite high, not due to the recent covid 19 outbreak. the students missed their chances. the average package was 3.75L per month as each Firm or company differ in payments. The percentage of students getting placed is quite less as students have other plans such as independent practice or apply to government based exams or teaching as a profession, etc.

Vels University is not that bad

It's very easy to get admission in this college as the admission procedure is very simple. You can directly go to the head office, and you can contact the people sitting in the reception. They'll guide you and throughout the admission. Also, it's near to the airport, which should make a travel entry for the students who are coming from the other states. Also it is situated in a very good place. The college is situated in Pallavaram, which has various like basically everything is present there beat food beat hostels. it's a good place.
