Anonymous's Review On Dayalbagh Educational Institute Faculty Of Engineering, Agra

I applied for Amu, Bhu, and Bits Plani .However i could not clear the written exams of Amu and Bits ,i got a Bsc course in Bhu but wanted to pursue Btech as my main aim is to join the Indian Navy after graduation,so finally i got admitted in Dayalbagh Educational Institute Agra. No quota was availed by me for the admission process .The College had certain admission criteria they calculated 5% 10th marks ,60%12th marks ,15%Jee mains score and rest 20%marks were for the personal interview, the aggregate marks were calculated and as taking into consideration the aggregate marks admission is given into the college ,the minimum marks for getting admitted are 70%in physics ,chemistry and mathematics .The admission process is perfectly fine as aggregate percentage involves marks from 10th ,12th ,jee mains and personal interview.However i dont had to go through the conselling process as my percentage was quite good and i got the desired branch in Btech in the first cut off list

I am pursuing Btech as my main aim is to get into the Indian Navy, any other cource does not provide opportunity to join the Indian Navy afer graduation ,also the number of defence technical entries increases after completing Btech.Faculty of enginnering Dayalbagh is recognized as one of the most pretigious engineering institutions .The faculty has held aloft the beacon of knowledege,research and education in the field of engimeering through its knowledge .The teacher student ratio of the college is quite high.The main aim of the faculty is to evolve a 'complete man after graduation,moreover the teachers are well versed in thier respective subjects ,most of them have done thier graduation from renowned IITS .Weekly class tests are held which help in having a grip on subjects,teachers give daily home assigmments which help in revising concepts on regular basis.During pandemic the institute held all the exams on time without much delay,passing wasnt difficult as the concepts were made clear by teachers

The college provides internship opportunities to the students .For the first year students their is a 15 days summer training program where students can take training in their fields of interest related to engineering.For the second year students internship program is there for 2 months and for the 3rd year students the program is for 6 months.Since i was in first year i took up a 15 days summer training program in Green Power Int. Ltd. Company Gurgaon.No stipend was provided as it was a learning (training )process. Students start getting stipend during internship from the 2nd year .

The students become eligible for campus placements from the 8th semester.The major comapnies visiting the campus are TVS, Tata, Mahindra ,Hero,Torrent ,Bata.The on campus placements of the college are less as comapred to the off campus placements.The highest on campus placement was Rs 10 lacs per annum and off campus it was 26 lacs per annum.The percentage of students getting placements is approximately 80%.My plans after getting the degree is to join Indian Navy

The total fee of the course is quite low and easily affordable for financially weaker students.The fee is paid semester wise that is before starting of each semester.There are 8 semesters and the fee per semester is Rs 6,350 only.Since the fee is affordable and quality of education is high the college provides a perfect environment to each section of students.Further the college provides various government scolarships or the scholarships given by charitable institutes(EdCIL scolarship scheme) to the meritorious ,finacially weak and physically handicapped students,the scolarships help the students in easily sailing through without facing much difficulties .

The raising day of the college is celebrated every year in the month of April followed by a district-level drama fest organized by the college in the month of may,various district levels science exhibition competitions are also held . During the course of pandemics, we cannot pay many visits to the college library, however, the college provides books on all the major subjects on a regular basis from the book bank. The classrooms have proper ventilation and are sufficient enough to hold a capacity of 100 students also each corridor has a water cooler installed. There are 2 hostels and canteens in the campus. The college focuses on various extracurricular activities like debates,singing,dramas ,dancing etc which help in all-round development of students.

There was no group discussion held for admission. However personal interview was conducted in which varoius questions were asked about my hobbies ,my likes dislikes my field of interest ,subjects that i like the most ,subjects i dislike ,further questions were asked about my daily routine ,extra curricular activties i took part in school ,sports i played my overall performance and achivements .Since i secured 100 marks in Mathematics my 12th boards exams various questioms were asked on mathematics .Various questions were asked on my field of interest (defence )and general knowledge questions were also asked .Since my interest was in electrical engineering they asked the major difference between elctronics and electrical enginnering .Other than interview aggregate percantage of 10th ,12th and jee mains were taken into consoderation for admission process.So ,basically i had to prepare myself for the interview and for that i read newspaper daily, studied thoroughly about my field of interests
